I read through some of the patch notes but I know there are always things that are affected by a patch without being mentioned. Has fire snake been fixed? I seem to recall all it's done recently is aggro everything it can find and attack crates.

Sounds about right for how it usually behaves.

snake is good for doing those kill 100 of X quests. Especially in the lower zones.

The Quote is buried, but the issues with Fire Shake have been commented on by the Devs.

They are aware that it sucks, and they will be looking at it in the upcomming "Pet review."
