# 1 PA and Strength?

I noticed the recommended Stats for the Power Armor set is Strength and Intel. However, I also noticed that there's only 1 Melee ability in Power Armor, and 1 buff that scales with STR and that seems to be it. Am I missing something? Are there better abilities for a Power Armor Character to take?

For what it's worth I'm still new to the game (less than a week) and I'm trying to learn as much as i can.

I appreciate any knowledge on the subject :)

Strength is fairly useless for PA and is easily made up by stacking with gear instead if you happen to need it for something like melee damage or invul. Con/end or con/int are good for a more tankish character, and end/int or end/rec, or something similar for a dps spec. You will want end or int though for running toggles regardless.

Strength doesnt make much sense for Power Armor. It might have some point if it worked better for knockback reduction than it currently does. You should check out the guide I wrote as it goes over the basics of Power Armor for newbies. It's not really an intuitive power framework compared to other ranged sets.

One note:

I superstatted STR and I find that while my damage is a little lower, because of the lack of endurance for energy, being able to have it add to my damage like all superstats, AND being able to toss tanks and trucks onto enemies is worth it. I will post my build later, but here is my link http://www.champions-online.com/char...s/1939710/view. It isn't the most powerful, or the best synergy, but I am able to do strong single target damage, some AOE with my micro+munitions, and the STR seems to make a damn big difference for Invulnerability. I love the build I'm using now and I only intend to make a few changes at 40 on the use of my advantage points, and possibly Dropping chest beam.

I know chest beam isn't the best, but there is nothing like leaning back, charging that up, and fiering a massive beam out of you chest that does 2-3k damage even at level 30. It is FUN!

So then now the only question I have, ( and I'm loving PA right now) is if i should super stat as END/REC, INT/REC, or END/INT.

Right now I'm at END/REC but if it should change then nows the time to do it.
However, part of the concept is Regen, so i think Rec is important. So really the question is should I go with END or INT as my 2nd SS when I hit 13?

I'd go End/Int and gear for Rec. You can get rec pretty high still with that setup.

And then he can carry Electric Form as a slotted swap to unload with Chest Beam and/or Laser Sword.

INT gets you a recharge bonus. You can leverage that with active defenses or anything else with recharge time. If you're not into active defenses you may as well go END. Either way its a close enough call while levelling up that it doesnt matter too much. When you hit 40 you get a free respec anyhow if you want to min-max.

My 2 cents, I'd go end/rec, especially since you are going with regen. PA sucks an absolute ton of energy, and you need all the help you can get. An end/rec build will give you a lot of energy to play with, and you can refill it very fast with the right builder, which is another point. I absolutely hate the PA stock builder, I'd swap it out for kinetic darts or really anything else, it has a wonky animation charge up time that feels like it takes forever to start up again.
