There is a small power slot above the ALT 7 option on your power tray. It goes there, then as soon as something attacks you or you hit an npc the energy form should activate.

Most are passive and do indeed activate upon entering combat. You won't really see any difference other than some sort of effect around your character. They don't go in any slot.

Wrong. All passive energy forms have to be slotted in order to function. Even the clickable ones have to be slotted. The only powers that don't need to be slotted are the innate passives, ie Supernatural Power and the like.

Wrong. I suggest you check up on the powers. :) Passive means just that, it doesn't take up a slot, and doesn't have to be activated.

For most of the frameworks there are 2 energy forms. One is passive and can be slotted in the appropriate passive slot. Then there is usually a clickable energy form. Sometimes the energy forms stack. The clickable energy form can be used to break free of holds and roots.

This is correct, although the passive indicator isn't what I consider a slot. The areas labeled 0-9, C1-C7,A1-A5, and T,CT are the only real slots.

The small one is a slot because you have to choose what power to put in there - especially if you have two - they're called 'slotted passives' after all.

Stop misleading newbies. Slotted Passives need to be slotted in the passive slot, innate passives don't.
