Why is this game having every one do lots of grinding to earn any thing, are yall trying to send people back to the cities of Heroes and Villains? Enough is enough, give us 50 instead of 150 to defeat and give us 250 instead of a 1000 to defeat. All that is being done is making the game unpleasent to play when we have to die alot just to earn any thing. Spread the levels out some if needed so people don't raise their levels (being able to top out your toon in a month or two is to fast) so fast so we can enjoy the game but don't please make the game where its not any fun to play.

I don't think 150 is too many as most players will kill around that many during the course of their other missions in a given area. I don't think 1000 is too many as you don't have to do that in order to enjoy the bulk of the game. If you are dying a lot then maybe you should amend your power choices or play style.
I recently reached level 40 in this game for the first time and at no stage did I feel that I was grinding or that I might have to grind.

When I played WoW (yes, it was my main MMO before this), my characters would normally take on one or two enemies at a time, and was required to typically kill 30 enemies for a quest.
Now, consider the escalation present here. My hero can typically take on 3 to 5 henchmen without breaking a sweat. Given that sort of increase, it's not unusual to see 150 as the typical number to kill for a quest.
It's all a question of perspective, and what's "normal".

Sounds like none of you have read any of the many complaints posted about the holiday event and since nothing is being done about them, Fobot isn't either.

I had lots of fun with the christmas event, of course I only went after clarence a few times, and I've only ever ground presents once for like 20 minutes. If you really don't want ot grind clarence for those steam punk pieces just wait till they are available in the store for a few bucks. It's only a grind if you turn it into one, and 90% of the event doesn't need to be a grind at all. I know people really want those steam punk pieces, but it just irks me to hate on the devs so much for a bunch of completely free content with nice rewards(cookies are awesome, action figures are nice and easy to get, perks aren't to tough to get etc...) and a little bit of fun.

I just dont think there is that bad of a grind to this game.
I remember the first time I seen kill 150. I though OMG thats insane. But as someone else has stated you dont have to do it right then and now. I ran a few other mission and then when the # got low I cranked out the rest of the kills. Ever since then that is how i deal with "grinding" missions.
Plus if you going to GRIND out a mission from beginning to end just take a break and hit ZA or a cage match .
I float between missions and PVP...to break that grind feeling

That said your post was hard to read.. I would suggest taking a breath, think about what you want to say, and then say it. You'll help everyone that wants to read your post and help you out.

To get all of the perks you do need to collect doll parts, but there's plenty available cheap at the Auction House. Or you can easily make in-game friends who are likely to be willing to just give you their extras. Drop me a message in the game and I'll be happy to send you whatever you are missing. The perk for the misfit toys does take a bit, but a few rounds with Clarence targeting them instead of the big guy should put you well on your way. Again, minimal grinding. And the one for fighting Black Harlequin and Clarence just requires showing up for the fight. Go for the toys and you'll get it as well.
And that leaves the rest of the rare drops. Without grinding the presents you may not end up with radioactive eggnog and the other stuff at the end of the day, but again they are just fun things that don't give you anything you can't get from elsewhere. And they drop often enough that the Auction House would be flooded with them too if they were not Bind on Pickup. So we're down to the Clarence action Figure and the Clarence bag. The bag is also Bind on Pickup, so you are going have to grind for them if those two extra slots are that important to you, but the doll is Bind on Equip. Again, make friends. I traded another rare figure for mine, but my circle of on-line friends has been making sure everyone who wishes one will get it before the end of the event, just cause they are nice folks.
So, while I'm sure there have been plenty of complaints about the way the event is designed, in the end we have to acknowledge that there will be complaints from some quarters no matter what Cryptic does. And much of the angst surrounding both the Winter Event and Blood Moon could be alleviated simply by getting involved in the more social side of the game. Only the most dedicated or fanatical will be able to get every single special item during the events, but there's enough for the rest of us to find and accomplish to keep most folks happy, if we would only remember that these are 'extra' things and not the primary thrust of the game. If you focus on that you'll realize that you need only grind if you truly want to, and not because you must, unlike so many other MMOs.
