First of all, you'll have to forgive me if there's a thread for this already; I checked and couldn't find this problem as regards free-weekend accounts. I have seen this problem listed elsewhere, but only as regards active accounts. I don't have an active account right now. I'm wondering why it is that I'm stuck at the patch window. The PATCH!!! button is greyed out right now, and below a gray bar are the words "No shards found: You have a ticket with 0 permission pairs, but no shards were found."

I'm glad to give more details upon request.

(*was really hoping to fiddle with the character creator a bit before heading off for Thanksgiving*)

same issue, No shards found: you have a ticket with 2 permission pairs, but no shards were found.
as with above poster patch button is greyed out.

EDIT: figured it out, just assumed like any other game with free weekend promo you just open patcher, log in and play not so here you have to jump through extra hoops (which they fail to mention in the promo email they send out) check out THIS following the info in that post I was able to get it to at least patch.

Don't bother, my self i have this bug for weeks and i have a paid account. At least you don't pay to not play :D

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I actually read both of those threads and to the best of my knowledge, I have either patched the game and await feedback, or I haven't patched the game and await feedback on why I can't.

Not working for me either. I already had the account from the last free weekend and i get the same shard error.
I even tried making a new one but that didn't work :S.

Another free weekend where you only can play a day?

It seems to work, it's patching right now. I just wonder why the tech support did nothing but telling me they were working on it when i made a ticket.

Hmm, I've got the same issue. I tried the game out the last time it was free, but didn't get to log in much. I'm trying to get back into the same account and not having any luck. I get the greyed out patcher button as well.

EDIT: Okay, scratch that, I think. I left the patcher sitting on the greyed out button and surfed the forums here for a while looking for some help. And after I posted this I went back to the window and noticed it's now patching all on its own... So if anyone else is having the issue, maybe just try letting sit there for a bit.... /shrug
