I really hope the devs do something about this. Had a couple people flying around in Bash throwing 5-7k Force Cascades at people in combat below. Simply outplayed. 100-0% in the blink of an eye.

Any plans to make Imbue work with celestial powers only?

I'd also like to add those 5-7k Cascades was with Invulnerability on.

i like imbue/cascade i also like wearing 50% reduced damage vs crushing + my other damage recuding gear.

its still sad that a Celestial Conduit r3+shadow form r3 is weaker then just a rank 3 concussor beam.

thats why my build carrys them both. for those ppl that have 50% reduced items for any of my damage types.

paranormel,crushing,energy,

i must say with a sheath or shroud power BB does insane AOE damage havnt tested it with Imbue will try when i log on.

Good, Invulnerability isn't meant for dealing well with slow, big hitting attacks. Read:

But I find it rather odd...I run Regen as my passive, any mitigation is from +defense on items. I should take huge damage from fully charged Cascades, and I do, but a few thousand less then the numbers you're posting.

Of course, it's possible to stack debuffs to get well over 10k hits (unmitigated), but you'll be spending a week setting all that up. Circles, Force Explosions, Qualrr guns, Chest beam, etc, etc, etc. Frankly, a half dozen other builds could have killed you a few times over in the time it takes a guy to line up a shot like that.

I also use Force Cascade + Imbue as my main "big" attack, but I rarely stack much on top of it unless I'm forced to deal with something with huge mitigation (passives, CoPD, etc). It's really difficult to spend that much time debuffing and timing everything just right when it all can be for nothing with a single knockback, power fist, hold, confuse, blind, etc. That's blowing a lot of cooldowns on a shot I probably won't get to go off.

It's much more effective in practice to fire 2-4k shots all day long then 10k monster alpha strikes.

These two highlight some things you should know in order to deal with the heavy hits like Force Cascade and Imbue.

1) Are you stacking items for stats and dmg or are you stacking on the +50% dmg reduction items?

2) Are you in defensive stance?

If the answer to 1) is stacking for stats, then you should probably consider doing otherwise.

If the answer to 2) is no then I would consider otherwise.

The above will limit your issue's with Force Cascade + Imbue a great deal.

Secondly Invul is not meant to deal with huge attacks. Invul is good against fast attacks, it's the exact opposite of lightning reflexs. LR deals with the big attacks very very well but sucks against the fast attacks.

Knowing these things are very key to dealing with Force Cascade + Imbue.

I think the best solution to the problem is to remove Teleport from the game. Oh damn I meant Swallowtail Cut. No, darnit, I totally meant Imbue. Yeah, remove Imbue from the game. And give Celestials some other power choice. Like maybe a sunshine bear pet that works as good as Attack Toy. But also gives out a nice little AoE heal, with a 5 foot radius, linked to your recovery stat. Ought to fix that right up with a quickness.
