Concept: Stay out of trouble and at full 100 range for healing with Celestial power set.

Do I want acrobatics for in combat speed to better get out of trouble and evade or flying for the vertical aspect in pvp? Clearly, flying is easier to "knock me out" of combat but I can hoover and often buy time. Acrobatics has more opportunity to get away to friends.

Obviously using teleport as my second travel power. Fully PvEed up so not worried about pulling aggro.

Leaning towards flying as it gives me a whole other dimension for staying away from toons. Many simply can't get to you as easily (especially at 100 range).

I would say flying as a celestial type, one of celestial abilities grants flying after all.

If you're talking about PvP... Acrobatics. Hands down. And here's why:
  • There's nothing more appealing to a person with TP removal then a person flying 100ft up trying to avoid dmg. You become the number one target of people who have these powers.
  • For NOW TP removal is relatively uncommon. That's not to say it's RARE. Just that not every player has it. Mostly because you have to sacrifice a very specific power as well as advantage points to get it. Soon Cryptic will be instituting TP removal advantages to powers across all frameworks. This wasn't hinted at. This wasn't eluded to. This isn't something I'm making up. This was blatantly stated, in black and white after the Conflag nerf that this *IS* happening. So pretty soon EVERYONE is going to have TP removal. So, do you wanna fall 100ft to the ground suffering fall damage, or do you want to just slow down while already ON the ground?
  • There's only one map right now at level 40 allowing more then 20 ft of vertical movement. That's BASH. BASH is an FFA map, not a group map. Both Stronghold AND Lava temple keep fliers well within firing range. Making flight just a slower version of Acrobatics/Superspeed. Some will argue there are a couple nice hiding spots for those with flight in the previously mentioned maps. I argue this: Celestial isn't exactly a graphically... subtle... framework. You're going to get noticed.

PvE is a different story.

Rank 3 or versatility? Too many pts to have both for a healing type.

If you have to chose between the two, versatility. Hands down the best TP advantage in game. It essentially negates in combat speed reduction. At the BARE minimum you should have rank 2. It allows you to basically jump from the highest construction site in BASH to the power lines below with little to no damage.

Tear it apart for PvP. I know I am missing a sheahe and a block. Invocation is just to keep melee off me. Will be relying on conduit and gigabolt for damage. May change the energy builder or drop rebuke for a block enhancer.

I honestly don't know enough about Celestial to make an accurate critique. Not having Force Sheathe seems folly to me. Especially as a healer.
