the power description states that gigabolt can be charged, as do the write-ups here on the forums. yet, the only time i can charge it is when i have electric sheath activated (i don't have any of the other electric energy forms so i don't know about them.) is this a bug?

gigabolt needs an active energy form to charge

Yep, it's written into the power. Can only be charged with an energy form active, an it temporarily disables your energy form afterwards.

Still well and truly worth it.

Yea I just use eletric sheath and then I can get off one giant gigabolt then its back to the tap which is powerfull in and of itself.

You could take force bolts energy builder with the shield adv, that counts as an energy form and seems to proc quite often, allowing gigabolt to be used ~every 5-10 seconds. Used to work with kinetic darts one too, but doesn't seem to anymore.

Could also just tap gigabolt 5-10 times in those 5-10 seconds and do more damage and have full end because of ionic reverb ;)

It could just be me but I have ionic and seems to use more end than it gives...

A couple of full charges with death arc seems to take care of most groups of hench/vills

The charged ions arcs are a pretty small range, so you have to have 3-4 mobs fairly tightly packed. And if you're charging it, none of the mobs have charged ions, so your first cast gets no arcs, you get no end. If you spam it, half the mobs are gonna be arcing.

Also, a full charge usually takes care of everything in 1 go for me. Especially if I add sonic device.

same here gigabolt with death arc plus sonic clears +3 groups no worrys, i keep getting people asking what it is when i team :)
