Gah!
The Powerhouse trainers now are dressed like something out of that horrid Youngblood comic by Liefeld!
Change them back, please!
...and this isn't totally because I play an off-duty Powerhouse trainer with a Might framework. Nope. Really.

Shouldn't they be the epitome of a super hero? They teach other super heroes everything they know.
Think about it... don't pick a fight with one of those guys. Seriously.

Ok. I just went in game and looked (because I wanted to see if they maulled the power trainers as had been done to Captain America).
I see what you're saying. Only two things it needs to be classic Liefeld. More pouches and less ankle.

"Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach."
So, with that as the premise, and given that Powertrainers can teach anything, it only follows that they can't do anything.
Powertrainers are...powerless. That's why they hide 50 miles below the Earth's crust in steel bunkers that can only be accessed by teleportation gates.
Why do you think they don't charge for training? 'Cause they want lots of superheros around in case Dr Destroyer shows up. They can't defend themselves, so...
Which is an interesting idea for a story. Since heroes can't really get powerful without a trainer, wouldn't it make sense to whack the trainers?

To the right is the classic trainer look. The only thing missing is a whistle on a cord around the neck.
To the left is, ugh, I dunno, what the hell, man? Just, what the hell?
