This just seems like it would be an interesting way to travel. Basically, it starts with a high jump (not quite SJ height, but much higher than Acrobatics or the start for swinging, then at the top, it starts moving foreward in a manner similar to (and maybe a bit faster than) ice slide, but with more limited upward movement.

It totally fits the theme of some characters, and hey, more options are always better than less.
