# 1 Force - Endurance/Recovery?

Are there any Force moves that specfically use EGO? I'm kind of hating EGO without Dex. The Crits are too rare for it to be worth much. I'm thinking about going Endurance/Recovery instead.

What good moves would fit with Recovery and what wouldn't?

IIRC you only need Ego for PFF, which is a lousy defense anyway.

Ego by itself is fairly worthless.

End/Rec is great, lets you pull off lots of energy-hungry charge moves.

I'm only level 15 on my force character (Pure Force other than regen), I'm END/CON superstats, and it's been good so far. I take a little REC and STR from items.

Because you get lots of energy from using your force shield, REC isn't too essential I don't think.

Im End/Ego super stats, and using offensive items to gain Dex.

It seems to work quite well.

My Crit Severity is at 120%, and my Crit Chance is at about 20%.

I run my force character with STR/CON; i do suffer from low end; but with force shield you usually have enough energy coming back to you that it's not a big deal. If you want to unleash force cascade, then you take the advantage that procs the shield from your energy builder as force cascade costs less if you consume an energy form with it.

I went with this build because of the knockback having strength as a superstat gives, and I like con for survivability. I also use invulnerability over PFF and that works with str/con.

PFF is the only power in Force that scales with anything. Drop the EGO unless you are go with DEX.

Instead look at what powers you have that scale. Are you taking Regen? Then go CON/REC. That's what I did.

I have a Rec/End Jedi, with some force powers and laser sword and some other powers from tele sets, I took PPF without a ton of ego and you really cant tell a diiff, I think at base (around 20 ego) you still regen 100 or so points of field points at 87 ego I was regening 125. Either way should have stuck with regen haha

Just to reiterate - both ego and end are really only essential for the force defence, PFF. PFF is currently a sub-par defence, and you should consider other choices. That said, you do need quite a lot of end to get Force Cascade off without the force bolt refraction shield

A lot of people have said rec and End work together very well - you can get the widely recommended regen, and your enormous equilibrium means you can open with a nice fat cascade in virtually any situation.

Alternatively, look at Str. This makes KBs (key to force) much stronger and more reliable. It also adds a little to the fall damage mobs take from KB. It leaves your second stat open, and you can either choose end and talent/gear a second stat, or choose something that matches your defensives.

As a a final note, there's a change to the way stats work on the test server, and you may well get better results from even small amounts of ego and dex just on gear.
