# 1 Problem with pet changes

I have a problem with the recent changes made to pets. i didn't put this in bugs because it's working as intended, I just dislike it. Pets were given collision with characters. The problem with this is that pet pathing is terrible.
I have healing drones, and they are constantly blocking me and trapping me in corners and against walls. If I make the mistake of summoning them while I'm talking to a contact, they will at times actually push me out of range when they appear. Now I can jump over them or fly over them , but what is merely annoying in general has proven occasionally deadly in the middle of battle.

What do other folks think about this? It's annoying enough I'm considering dropping healing drones.

I have a similar problem. In an instance, I got actively trapped into a small room by my munition bots, lol. You need to actively avoid your pets if you plan to move while in combat, or you'll get stuck into them. It does make my life quite a bit harder. Also, field drones being so close, they sometimes get in front of the camera and actively blind me.

I think the best way to solve this would be making the pets "pushable", so you can just push them out of the way while moving.

Yeah. its like a replay of the mastermind pet in CoV, the way they originally were. (now you can move "through" them). They used to box me into rooms or a cul de sac which really sucked.

I didn't understand adding collision to pets either, does it fix a diffrent bug? Sounds like alot of added hassle.

In theory it should be a fix for pets merging into eachother so you cannot tell how many pets you have out as they are all perfectly merged up. That happened a lot with munition bots.

But why add it to the player instead of just with other pets? Maybe there is no current way to filter between the two when determining what is being bumped into.

You think Drones are bad, Zombies are frickin hilarious, when out of combat they form a human shield around you. A human shield that doesn't move!

I find that just being careful and planning your attack keeps the pets from blocking you in.

Still it is something that should be looked into. I like the way the pets are working now, so much better than before the patch.

They keep massing up on themselves, they don't collide to each other, so nope. If it's a fix for the bunching up, it doesn't work.

Carefully planning your attack is all well and good, but sometimes you get jumped, sometimes nemesis minions spawn, and sometimes you don't have controllable minions like munition pets and drones ;) It's minor, I agree, but it should be looked at.

hahah yea, i was in the lost caves.. summoned some zombies.. had to keep flying over them to get anywhere
