Seriously, what do some of you people expect? This thread looks more like a "Please Cryptic, make the game how I want." You list a couple of good things and don't bother going into detail but you don't hesitate to write a novel about the bad things in the game. I like seeing peoples opinions but not flat out game bashers because if I dislike a game and see no changes I will leave. Just like I did in AoC.

Let me explain this to you in a short answer: No game is going to be exactly what you want. This is nothing more than a subliminal game bashing post and if you feel that badly about it then you really sound like you could use another game. Every game has problems and there is nothing wrong with having issues with it. Like myself for example I have a lot of issues with the PvP but I make my comments about what I dislike and move on. You are trying to force feed people your feelings about the game and if it's true that you have made several qutting post that even makes it more apparent. The bandwagon riding trolls behind you don't convince me other wise either.

Ever since WoW, all half of you do is expect WoW popularity. Feel this though, WoW still has people who complain and there will ALWAYS be issues in a MMO. . Still failing to realize that Blizzard had a huge fan base BEFORE WoW? Most of their players never played a MMO until that. I did a lot of things different which was great but now look at it, it's all corrupted and just a player milking machine. So I suggest you learn and be happy with a company that actually pays attention to the ideas and wants of players. They show it directly and in my opinion they are spoiling babies like the OP.

Nothing is perfect. Not you, not me so onto our creations so get used to it or quit. Good luck finding a perfect MMO with a staff even nearly involved with players as Cryptic is. And stop making humongous post trying to spread your biased bull crap.

I don't think the OP ever said he wanted WoW popularity. In fact, I don't think anyone who has come up with a constructive, well-thought out post has wanted that. This is a niche game. WoW numbers aren't to be expected straight out the gate; but what people simply want is a good game. If they're not getting that, then why do you feel the need to belittle them for their decision? Just because you like it doesn't mean someone else will;, and just because you don't find fault in X, Y, and Z doesn't render the same results for another customer.

Also, you really shouldn't call other people trolls when you say things like this:

There are two distinct gameplay paradigms here: group and solo oriented. Someone could play alone in a group oriented game, or group in a solo oriented game, but that fact does not change the nature of the game. In other words, your comment would make sense IF champions online were a group oriented game but I refused to group with other people. Along the same lines, it would be equally foolish for someone to complain that they were always forced to group in this game.

That's true, but it misses the point. I can pretend anything that I like. I can pretend that I am the Mayor or Championville and roleplay asking for people's votes -- and it might even be amusing for a while -- but that would not change the fact that there is no election for you to vote for me in. In the same way I can pretend that this is a group game. It won't make it so though. It will remain what it is, for now at least, which is why that is the way that I reviewed it.

I can defend pretty much every problem in this game because most of it just takes time and to certain extent people are finding success playing the game to it's current cap.

However, that being said. the teaming aspect of this game I just cannot defend. It needs lots of work, so much so that just a little love here and there won't cut it. It needs a serious teaming element. Right now it's teaming-lite. Whereby you can get together in a chat room and not really have to work together on much of anything. In addition, the game still penalizes people under a certain level when sidekicked. On top of that any teaming content takes place on a map the size of my bedroom. It doesn't matter how much you like to team as of right now (even including the current patch) there really isn't much teaming content to speak of. Hopefully in time the devs will take a harder look at what it takes to make teaming work.

Teaming-lite is perhaps generous.
