I mean I really want to use them. When you turn the Jet boots up to level 2 for faster speed your character takes 20 seconds to get up to stage 2 and another 23 seconds to get to stage 3.

It doesn't happen on level 1 Jet boots, 5 second/10 second charge, only when you spend a point in it. Not sure about level 3 because I am stuck at 39 with no quests to do.
