This full regeneration thing that happens when you are fighting a Villain or master villain when you disengage is ********. I'm using tactics and the environment to drop these guys, and the minute I back off to try and lure them into the path of a thrown computer, they disengage and fully heal up, but I don't? How is this remotely fun, or even plausable?

Dev's, this needs to be addressed, and fixed. How can you punish a solo player who is trying to use tactics rather than just button mashing to achieve a goal?

Only thing I can think of is you're pulling them too far back. I haven't run into a problem with them breaking away unless I'm the one trying to get away from them.

Sorry but I don't get your logic. You're pulling them into the path of an object? Why not grab the object and get closer to throw it at it. Unless you're telekinesis, then you need to just plan for the fight better or bring along friends. As I understood it, TK is a support set not something that should be solo-ing MV's at will.

I imagine so its that people don't dance around poles to avoid the mob while they regenerate health making it pretty trivial.

This is what I mean. retreat back, try and garb an object so that when they come around a corner I can nail them with it after gathering a little bit of health, but the guy pulls back, and IMMEDIATLEY regenrates full health.

It's just not a lgical way to to that sort of thing, and it means you can't try do a skillfull kill, it's just who has the higher DPS and defense.

While this game is a WoW clone engine-wise, I do not wish to play a game where this WoW mechanic is used...

If the enemies can't see you after a while, they'll heal.

This isn't exactly Metal Gear.

Like I said you must be pulling them too far back. There's a set distance to where the mob will turn around and go back and once out of combat they regen fast. Try moving in a little closer and doing your set up.

Not at all. Maybe in closed instances, but if everyone just attacked enemies and ran away without them healing eventually then all you'd see are damaged goods (er, enemies) running around.

It's an MMO, its focusing on a community and not single person.

Makes perfect sense to me.

The design vision of this game includes a very short leash and a very sensitive "go for backup" trigger. It really puts a damper on those of us that like to kite, and makes it exceedingly difficult to succeed as a kiter.

The good news is: If you are a good kiter, your talent shines that much brighter with how things are. I do not see this changing or being fined-tuned .. it is something that they clearly stated WAD in multiple interviews and design chats.
