Hi,
I just started my foce character, actually lvl 11. As I have to choose a second SS in a few levels I started thinking of what I am going to do in the future. I would like to have some melee attacks and thought about taking ego blades as I will choose ego as SS.
*Edit: I guess I have to give some more information of my choices I made. I took endurance as my first SS which should fit the concept of taking ego blades, does it ?
Does Ego scale with the force powers ?
What did you choose for your force build ?

well force's recommended stats are Endurance and Ego, so ego works well for force. Did you take PFF for your defensive passive? if so it scales based on End and Ego.
My force build is currently SS with End/Ego as i use PFF with field surge and i loves it. I did skip on the force hold and picked up the Ego hold from telekinesis, as the force one wasn't really for me. But other than that a pure force framework build.

How do you go on fighting the bad guys, usualy I ran into a group, blow them away with the force erruption and singel target kill them with the charged one. That is in long term pretty boring I guess so I will try to add something else.

I switched to End/Ego after the last free retcon and deeply regret it. End is essential for your PFF strength, Ego is supposed to increase your regeneration rate of your PFF health but to be honest I've noticed almost no difference and the stat is pretty much useless to me for anything other than a rare crit.
I would instead take End/Rec, mainly because Force Cascade is awesome but it is a huge energy hog. It'd be much more useful to start with a much higher Equilibrium so you cna at the least get a Tap of it of, even if you can't afford the charge it to full.

I'm at 13 with my force character and... well, he pretty much stopped. I'm regretting PFF/Field Surge and would rather have taken say regen/Force Shield. I made the curious choice of ego blades as my L1 attack, before I realized that melee attacks don't seem to go so well with force powers, what with the knockback and all. Compared to my Gadgeteer with regen, my Force character just DIES. Constantly. It's quite unsettling, but I think just derives from my bad build choices.
So right now with force bolts, ego blade, and force eruption, I basically do my best to run in, force erupt with the 20% damage bonus, and repeatedly build energy and mid-charge force erupt so they don't get flung away. PFF drops FAST, feels like. Just not recommended; I think he's basically on hold until the free respec, when I'll try all-force and more ranged items, and probably Regen/Shield with End/Rec as supers.

Take End/Con or End/Rec as supers.
Don't take PFF.

I took end/con in beta and did fine. If I were doing it over again, I'd take End/Con and invuln or End/Rec and regeneration. Str doesn't need to be very high to get decent KB results.

I have 2 force characters in the 20's. Both have been shelved until I retcon out of PFF. Right now I'm looking at switching the pure force character to STR/END and taking Invuln and the force pool. My Ego/Force I will probably switch to regen.
I did start another Force/Dark character and went immediately with Invuln (STR/?) and my survivability and playing enjoyment have increased dramatically. YMMV.
Just my $.02.

Possible alternative: STR/CON Invuln build. END as secondary stat, REC as tertiary.
Watch them fly ;)
