Does it increase with your rank in the power? Does it increase with your Super Abilities?

Are you talking about lightning shield, which is used in place of block? If so it does increase damage in both cases, although the damage isn't much unless you take the advantage.

It ticks pretty quickly for 50-60 for me with rank 1 on anybody in melee range. Looking at the rankups that is supposed to increase.

How much damage does it do without the side upgrade and you go straight ranks?

It does 33 damage at rank 1 without a form... I'm not sure how much it increases with rank, but I don't think it will ever really be a viable form of damage. It also has terrible physical resistance; less than half of force shield I think.

I just like the idea of using it to add a little damage while I'm blocking and wouldn't be doing any damage. How much Energy does the upgrade that blasts lightning at your attackers draw?

If you're melee and you're into pvp one thing you might want to consider is ice shield instead of lightning. Always good to chill your target so they don't run away.

I'm not really into PVP. I just do the PVP Quests sometimes.

It should be noted that the Lightning Block power actually provide less resistance than even the standard block.

It's also broken as of right now (Ice Shield) - Crippling Challenge can't bring down the shield, unlike every other block power in the game.

If your guy is pretty tough already (has a good defensive passive), the Lightning Shield is a pretty decent power when it's got the advantage (so it can attack at range). It doesn't do a lot of damage up front, but it does tick very quickly. It also is a halfway decent way to use the extra END you build up while blocking if you have the advantage (you normally can't go past your max endurance, so this thing blasting lets you utilize END that would normally go to waste).

It synergizes pretty well with PBAOE's like Force Eruption or Havoc Stomp. Do an AOE, block to regen energy and zap people, do another AOE, etc.

If you're looking for PvP utility or you're squishy, I would look elsewhere.
