# 1 Supernatural char...what to take as a big single hitter besides bite? and another q.

I am playing a werewolf kind of char so heavily focusing in supernatural but got np branching out in other frameworks solong it looks semi good on my char.
The thing is the main single target attack from supernatural bite I find lacking a lot of flair and dmg..
The dmg it does is far from "whao" and the secondary effects it gives I get from other powers..
Like the iron cyclone gives me enrage and my iron lariat makes targets bleed...
I have been looking in might and uppercut looks interesting and does indeed do a lot more dmg but the knockup is kind of annoying as it takes it out my energy builder range and I actually have to wait for uppercut to hit again because my target is flying in the air...ya dont got this problem with immune mobs but still its annoying ;)
What other powers could I perhaps consider to be my big single target hitter mainly for villains and stronger?

Also I am thinking of not taking venom breath as its max targets is only 3...which I really find lacking.
Is shockwave worth waiting for and taking at lvl 26 to function as my aoe/cone attack?
It seems to do quite a bit more dmg then venom breath AND it can hit 5 targets...thats 2 target win.

Some input be nice ;)

I took chainsaw over bite on my shark, though it fit his theme anyway. For a werewolf type, I'd be maybe looking into some claw attacks possibly? I haven't really looked at that set at all, so I couldn't tell you much about it.

Werewolves would be cool with some supernatural bites/chains, claw attacks, and possibly might attacks (crazy knockback) to be thematic. Drawing from those sets will likely give you enough defense, roots, AOE/single-target attacks to do quite well.

Gotto say that chainsaw doesnt quite fit into my werewolf idea ;)

Are there any people with shockwave experience?
On paper it looks great as it does more dmg then venom breath its 2 more targets and only costs slightly more energy.

That's pretty much my build/theme. It does lack punch, though.

One thing you should be aware of is that bleeds stack (even with themselves) so just because you get a bleed from one attack, it's not a reason to avoid getting another one. If you just chain full charged Bites it can do some decent damage... still, it's not amazing. I have read that shadow blast makes a good nuke for supernatural or dark themed characters. Might want to try that.

I was indeed thinking abou shadowblast also caus I am also branching out in darkness a slight bit...but I do kinda prefer a melee attack as I thought that would just fit better...be odd to have just one ranged attack and that happens to be my big hitter ;)
(my chain attacks I dont consider ranged attacks ;p)

Dmg on bleeds I did not find all that impressive...why I want a bleed is the fact that devour essence heals for so much more :D
Unless someone can show me some numbers showing that bleeds are awesome...
Also branching out of supernatural for attack powers has made me wonder wont I be nerfing myself when I start using aspects?
I heard they suck now but...perhaps if they are fixed?
But I guess thats just speculation..

Venom breath does hit more than three targets, it's my primary attack on my tank. The 1 point upgrade that gives a 20% chance of vomitting is a bonus stun which procs more than you'd expect. (100% chance on bleeding) However....it isn't going to be a good single target hit.

I just picked up uppercut and am loving it so far. It does take you out of range for a second or two but the damage is great, it's relatively energy cheap and has a shorter charge time than some other attacks.

The other obvious option would be haymaker, but it sort of defeats the point of being in melee range. I didn't have any luck in the powerhouse with charging haymaker and then landing an iron lariat before they got out of range. Also note that it's much more energy expensive and has a longer charge.

No experience with shockwave, but on paper it looks nice.

On my werewolf I'm going with claw and bite attacks from Supernatural, Iron Lariat, and a couple of Might attacks. The Claws martial arts attacks don't really fit well because they use strap-on claw weapons, while the Supernatural claw attack uses the actual hands. Might seemed the best set for additional melee attacks.

Devour Essence is a very nice attack. It's got a cool down, but it does good damage and has a nice heal on it. I would recommend it for a supernatural character, heck for almost any melee character, assuming you could fit it in.

Please check again on venom breath and how many targets it hits...trust me its really only 3 :(
Ofcourse if 1 dies if the initial 3 attacked then another is able to be attacked but venom breath is only capable of hitting 3 targets at the same time.
