I've been trying to do some research on the Pros and Cons of PG vs. CB, however in every thread nobody really compares these two powers. People seem to either retcoon out of Gauntlets for Concussor or keep them both. I know that Concussor is a toggle and Gauntlet is a maintain, and 50ft vs. 100ft range.
But damage wise how do those two compare. In my Champions builder it says rank 3 Gauntlets does 613 particle damage at max charge. Concussor does 259 particle damage, but is this for every tick within a 5 second timeframe, or is the mechanics different? Correct me if I'm wrong because I just don't know.
In PvP I fought another Power Armour guy and I was able to interrupt him with my Gauntlets so I like the power. Just wondering what your guys thoughts are.

Concussor ticks every half second. It's not cheap, but it has a good damage rate and good utility in keeping enemies away from you. The only real downside is that sometimes the repel pushes enemies outside of its range but the concussor doesn't shut off. Also, like all the other PA toggles, it doesn't work at severe angles.
personal opinion: gauntlets suck as a damage power, especially for their END. They do have a place as a utility power, with the interrupt. Good place to put Crippling Challenge.
The CB Advanced stats are not really reliable yet, you are better off looking ingame if you want to make an explicit pro/con review.

With my stats (END/CON; 66% damage bonus, 100% charge/maintain), Power Gauntlet does 764 DPS, 19.4 DPE; Concussor Beam does 880 DPS, 25.1 DPE.
The main differences are in the effects. Power Gauntlet can accept Crippling Challenge; Concussor Beam can slow enemies. PG interrupts 43% of the time; CB repels enemies.
Personally, I like Concussor Beam. Allows me to use Chest Beam, which is iconic to the Power Armor character, and not terrible tapped.

So do you guys think it is useful for me to keep both. Unfortunately my PA toon was made after the free retcon, otherwise I was thinking of retconning for Concussor. It's not possible right now (I'm level 11).
Was thinking of re-rolling but I guess having both can be beneficial for the different effects.

So you're saying I should reroll it?
I'm not seeing TOO much of a problem though, actually, for keeping Power Gauntlets except for the fact that I now have to take Concussor Beam in another slot, which makes getting all my other core powers a bit later than if I retconned out of Gauntlets. Which is not too big of a deal for me.
Because once I hit the mid 20's I will have my entire core powerset already. Everything else I get from that point on is either icing on the cake, or some useless crap I'm never going to use and just there to fill the gap.

I have both for pvp. I use gauntlets as an interrupt on healer or people foolish enough to try charge/maintain powers. I also use it as a sniper shot on fleeing people with its 100ft range.
I slotted my con beams for snare, which frankly is awesome. I push people into corners of the cage or arena and my team proceeds to wipe the floor with them. I cant tell you how many times someones been trying to flee out of the cage and I push them to the side, and they run into the wall and die!
If I want to burn someone down, i'll activate con beam + my minigun and they dmg is great if you get teflon bullets for minigun.

I really don't know the PVP side but my educated guess is that more pvp-types like PG because it can be "bursty" whereas Concussor is DOT. I just think its a very strong DOT, so I took it for pve :) Plus I shoot frikkin lasers out of my hands -- how cool is that?
