I love Munitions. It's an awesome set with some amazing high-damage powers.
The problem is that's pretty much all it has.
Now I don't normally mind about things like this but while worrying over my free respec I was very aware of a few powers that were missing from the set and couldn't find in any other set that fit thematically.
Crowd Control:
Smoke Grenade is only so effective but I'd like to see a fully-fledged hold in the set.
Some possible additions:
Taser
Short range Taser electrocutes the target sending them into spasm. Click power on a long cooldown but low energy cost.
This is essentially the Electrocute power but with a different animation and the Taser is fired from your Pistol. All the animations exist and just need to be put together in the right way. Also this power can't Arc and isn't charged like Electrocute.
OR
Tranquiliser Dart
You fire a Tranquiliser filled dart that sends your target to sleep. if the target takes any damage they will wake up but with their damage reduced. Again a Click power with a long cooldown.
Block Upgrade
Retaliation is currently my Block upgrade of choice as it has no visual effect and the damage buff is very nice.
However a Munitions flavoured one might be:
Riot Shield
You deflect incoming damage with a Riot Shield.
No innate bonus aside from the increased resistance (like energy shield) but an awesome effect (and if we could choose the kind of shield then I imagine the medieval characters benefit).
Would have a 2 point advantage called Shield Bash which will knockback all target infront of the player within melee range when the block ends. You must have been blocking for 5 seconds to get this effect and it applies knockback resistance to those knockedback for 20 seconds.
Passives
To be honest I have no problem taking my Passives from other sets. Lightning Reflexes goes well with a Dex/Ego build or failing that take Defiant or Invulnerability to represent body armour.
The Martial Arts Offensive Passives work very well with Munitions and I'm sure Quarry would but I've honestly never seen it actually work the way it says it should so can't comment.
If anybody can think of some Passives that would fit Munitions builds better than the ones available already then speak up below I'd love to hear your suggestions.
Those are my ideas for plugging the gaps in Munitions. I'd like to know your opinions and what else Munitions could use to round it out and make it possible to take all your powers without breaking concept.

I like the Shield and Shield Bash ideas. Very nice. Have the shield's bonus be greater towards normal physical attacks. Then it simulates, well, a real shield. And I could easily see other frameworks being willing to dip in to Muni for it, as long as it is kept low-tier.
Taser reminds me a bit much of City of Heroes, but the power equivalent there was still pretty nice, too, so I wouldn't mind it returning. Instead of using the pistol, you could use the 'grapple gun' graphic from swinging.

I believe Chaingun has a small chance to fear on it already. Munitions needs a Flamethrower, imo. It could apply a hold like Heatwave.

I agree with the need for a flamethrower. I have a Punisher/Boba Fett Concept going and would love a flamethrower. Is there a Fire Power that could be used for this, I honestly haven't looked into the Fire set much. It would be cool if there was a power that worked in good synergy with munitions. I'd trade my shotgun for a short range cone fire damage AOE.

I would very much like it for powers that have variable sources to have your drawn weapons as options. If I could have electrocute fire from my pistol then I'd have my taser.
