Other than the advantages that they get, they all seem pretty much the same to me. Is there anything important I should know about taking a block power before I grab it and leave the power house? I'm leaning toward Energy Shield just because it looks the coolest on my cybernetic psychic character, but I could go with force, telekinetic or even electric shield and still fit the concept pretty well.

Electric: Does damage, less damage mitigated.
Force: Gets double energy, has a 1-point linger advantage that reduces damage a little bit and still generates blocking energy. Very good for high-energy consumption characters.
Ice Shield: Applies Chill. PVPers seem to like it.
Energy Shield: Has Laser Knight, which procs a strong damage reduction shield after melee attacks. Very good for melee characters.
Telekinetic Shield: Has a lingering medium damage reduction. Very good for ranged characters who want to be tough.
Ebon Void: Grants lingering damage reduction when struck. Kind of odd. Some like it!
Eldritch Shield: Does nothing special as far as I can tell. I haven't tried it out.

The lingering defense is the Voracious Hunger advantage, basically every hit you take while blocking gives you 10% extra damage reduction for 10 seconds, I believe. Pretty useful. Force also lingers, I've been trying to figure out what percentage it lingers at, though, so I could judge if it's better than Ebon Void or not in that regard.
