Is it possible to make my power colors "darker"? I know I can change the actual color.. but if I wanted say.. either white or black... could that be made possible?

You cannot, that's why you can change color hue, and not color value

Hue is different colors within the same brightness/darkness of the given color.
Value is the lightness/darkness of a given color
