Will you buff up single target damage dealers like single blade, martial arts, might etc?

Can you explain better what stats do? There is no explanation ANYWHERE.

Can you rollback the patch? Its my birthday thursday, it could be my present for being a good boy.

Can you give us more tutorial run throughs? The same thing over and over and over again is beyond annoying.

When can we be villians?

Why was eyebeam nerfed to uselessness but no retcon given?

Why did your interviews post and pre 9/1 patch rail on about solo play but its only viable for certain builds?

Make it scalable to your level and stat and various other things.

I think there is that problem for several of the powers, I can't give you examples because I haven't played with all of them. But just as a general theme of scalability. Also, make it more clear or balance better how the stats effect powers so our concept builds don't get utterly screwed when it comes to playing through the game in either PVP or PVE.

Some of the Current issues:
1. Retcon is expensive and uninteresting. If you really want to make more content and allow players to retcon fully why not kill two birds with one stone.
2. Combat recognition is buggy (causes problems with travel powers such as teleport)
3. Teleport does not always work as advertised (stealth and combat status buggy)

Possible Solutions:
1. Create Mad Scientists or even just super geniuses who get into trouble by (Nemesis or if not 25 yet, some other super villian) who are developing or have developed some machine (time machine, bioengineered virus, super ray, the list is endless) that will allow the player, if they complete the mission (and make it a fun and challenging mission for all characters 'easier said than done', but that's the fun of this game it's so open and great. So I'm sure you'll figure it out.), to gain points for retcon and that way you nullify the cost in game currency. One way you might make it challenging is put in some traps (pit of frenzied sharks, motion sensitive wall darts, laser beams) in strategic places in the lair of the villian where these missions take place. The key here is Humor that makes it interesting, witty dialog and clever lairs and silly villian names. Tie it into the nemesis system and there you go... you've got CONTENT, glorious CONTENT! all tied into each other to make things more interesting. One example would be the Foxbat Mission where you dominate over Foxbat! OMG hilarious! He is a character. Adding humorous monologues and tirades will make this game only better. Cinematics will help too.

Ideas:
This could also be tied into bonus powers based upon the characters powerset, have a set of missions oriented towards a particular powerset to give them a "bonus" power after completing some event like those described above.

If you have a retcon event (above) available, say every hour, and have the cost of a power be say 1 point, advantage 2, characteristic 3, and super characteristic 4 you could have something here that's fun and interesting.

  1. Are you planning on making the mission system more user friendly ala City of Heroes, so teams of people can do whatever mission is selected, earn the rewards of said mission without the messages telling them the mission cannot be shared/user doesn't meet criteria and so on?
    Reason for asking: I am finding it difficult to team with people who are willing/able to do my missions with me. Most of the time I am either too high or low in level. Surely with a sidekick/exemplar system, we needn't be restricted at all to what missions we can do and gain rewards in? The longevity of Champions will come from users making new characters with new powers over & over. A good, flexible mission system frees users from any restrictions in teaming.

  2. Can we have a non-aggression mode for travel powers, that allow us to travel without harassment, maybe even linked to a costume disguise?
    Reason for asking: I love the Acrobatics travel power but it's an aggro magnet! Any non-flying powers tend to be. Basically either through a button-push or when in disguise you can travel freely without a problem but all your attack powers are 'greyed out'. If you choose to engage an enemy whilst using your travel power you have to de-select the non-aggression mode and attack. You then get 'recognized' and attacked. Your travel power is still active but you are susceptible to damage until you go out of range.
    ETA: The non-aggression mode would only work for about 5 levels above your own. Any higher and you start to get recognized.

  3. NOTE: I'm only in the mid 20s so far. So this Nemesis question may already be in game. Why not extend the Nemesis system to allow old adversaries you took out in the earlier levels of the game to pop up in Nemesis missions, newly empowered by your Arch-Nemesis? The story could be that after defeating the dastardly villain in the earlier game, your Nemesis recruited them in a jailbreak and gave them extra powers to hunt you down? Or something along those lines
    Reason for asking: A bit more dynamic and it would give it that extra comic book effect to have old adversaries teaming up and coming after you, as part of your Nemesis plot to take you out. It would add to the fun.

Are you going to allow to use our unlocks on other characters. I mean i do not need all the swords i unlock on my power armor guy .. but would like to use it on my sword guy.

Will dual spec or dual power sets every be implemented?

Wouldn't the idea of being able to have two separate power sets to chose from be great? If we had the ability to chose two powers at level instead of just one. The second power would go to a completely separate build. And give us the ability to rename it from default "Build 1" etc, to "Crimson's Dual Blade Sorcery Killer Build".

Imagine your in a PUG and there is no healer or tank so you click on your "Mr. Tanky" build or "Dr.Medic" build and bam! Your ready to go! Perhaps switching specs would require 10-15min cooldown for balancing. Imagine you could roll out your DPS build during the raid to kill trash mobs and then at the boss switch to tank!

Ofcourse Cryptic will need to add encounters that require team base dynamic encounters that require Tanks, Healers, DPS, and CC. I am not sure what the end game is like but dual specing would be interesting if there was raid content.

I personally would like the ability to change builds in my UI but I would accept visiting an NPC as well. And while we are at it why don't you just incorporate it into the costume designer NPC! Not only you are able to switch power sets but with a corresponding costume as well!

If cryptic was worried about having a paying customer get 2 characters for the price of one, well, there is another game that does that and it does fine!

Or have the secondary power set be attainable through questing, crafting, missioning, and unlocks.

Will you add an ability that allows you to hide @account status? Basically am refering to the @account handle. Anybody who's anybody can check out to see if you are on and which toon you are playing. Folks who are on your friends list know automatically if you are on a new toon. I actually really dont like this feature, since there are times when I dont want to be "bothered" by other people. Thanks.

I think retcon needs to be figured out better. Having to pay more and more gold the further you go back is a little difficult if you realize after a while that there was a power you got that is useless or not usable for your character build. Maybe paying some to go back to say 1 tier be x amount, and 1 tier would be 1power, 1talent, 1supercharacteristic, and then charge just a little more to go further and further back without out overpricing a mistake.

Oh no! Did I miss a cut-off? If not, I have a couple questions. Small, itty bitty questions that aren't likely as important to others as they are to me. :)

1a) Innate Characteristics! I want my IC that gave +10 EGO, DEX, INT and something else I forget. Trying to keep INT above the floor (thankfully, zero now) is painful and I want those five extra points. When are the original ICs coming back, as was implied would happen when we were advised to keep retconning them to the top of our powers listing (which became impossible, of course).

1b) Are there tools being developed to allow a player to painlessly switch his existing blah IC for the older more exciting ICs? Without having to retcon their entire build? How will existing characters switch their IC, once the old ICs are added back in?

2) How many costume slots can we unlock, and are they unlockable through a variety of means? Leveling, PvP, perks, etc.

First off: the idea to make costume unlocks account wide HAS to be done, I just assumed it was like that already.

More Missions; easy fix, add repeatables. I'd like to see more missions giving from random citizens and add quests like in the spider man 3 game where you just see people in trouble and can save them.

Also I'm not about to ask for more powers at launch... but wth is up with bugs that prevent powers from being used and keeping quiet about it? I was waiting for Shoulder Launcher and finally get to it (even respecing to get 5 PA powers for it) just to find I'm stuck with the pretty lame chest beam and a bugged launcher.

Last point; some powers really are lame but could be easily made better. Chest beam for example; I know its "CHEST" but it looks lame coming from there, why not add the ability to shoot it from different locations and rename the skill.
