For me i have never used eye beam so dont bother mentioning :P... my guy is based off of Vile from the megaman series so he needs a shoulder mounted weapon (imo it could be either the mini gun or the shoulder launcher)

So to compare which one leads to greater kills? :P

So far my favorite is Chain Gun. The sheer amount of energy I can get back by using targeting computer with Chain Gun's multi-hi capability is astounding. Get 4 mobs with the glowy green computer target and let your chain gun rip, you'll have a full blue bar no matter what else you decide to unleash on them (provided you keep hitting them all). Does satisfactory damage and (in my case) debuffs their defense too.

Is eye beam seriously still worth it?

in some situations yes, they are so very cheap and eye beam micro munitions and the adv on bolter seems to do enough dps most of the time
