Chill is indeed easily countered in PvP - unless you have super speed.
Pity the poor SS users, folks. They're totally gimped by Chill in ways no other power set can manage on even the best of days.
It's also hilarious to use Chill on melee characters and watch as they stand there and turtle because there's nothing else they can do. As if melee characters aren't gimped enough as it is. Lawl.
*Ahem* Anyways, really, all I care about is the slow effect's sheer absurdity. The damage can stay as it is, fine (it's not like Electricity doesn't have its own absurdly powerful anti-minion-horde abilities), but there's just something inherently wrong about the ability to completely negate all horizontal movement.

Plus players who whine about how others are doing in PVE should seriously get a life. This is what led to them screwing up a bunch of powers at release in the first place..

You nubs do know that by you crying about How OP this and that is, just gives cryptic another SKill to nerf it to the ground. Look at Med bots, TBL,Shatter,Energy forms, i can keep going on so...

In PvE, I don't see the issue, but in PvP I agree.
The chill effect is a little too high, especially with so few ways to dispel it.

What do you propose instead?
Or should we all just be running your build.

Also the fact, that you need to take several power and quite a few advantage to make the build so great, that it warrant a nerf cry is ridiculous. I mean if only one of it power was OP ok... fine, But you if you need to take several powers and their advantages to make it awesome than that the whole point of the tree.

I think I have this discussion every day.
The reason for the disagreement on this effect is that it has a much larger effect on certain travel powers, while being completely negated by others.
It brings superspeed and acrobatics down to a stand-still. It literally looks like you are rooted and frozen in time. It has no effect at all on teleportation, and is barely noticable on flight.

I suppose we could argue that we get 2 travel powers for a reason. Anyone who plans on PvP'ing and chooses 2 ground based ones is kinda asking to be slowed.

So just for the sake of argument :
Why not buff the other secondary effects instead of nerfing chill ?

a) How is chill easily countered?
b) As an ice user, I have found as I go up in levels (23 now), the relative awesomeness of ice and chilling is dropping a little, while other sets - electricity, for example - are coming into their own a little more. An electricity user can fly up high, hold you in some cage, and nuke you down very effectively... ice effects are relatively easy to break out of it seems.
Still loving the set though. It's the only one I have played - I never played an ice character before and fancied it.
