How do you get the bags so you can horde more junk?

Crafting and some quest rewards. All crafting trees have access to bags, just with different names.

Crafting.
You can make 4 slot bags almost as soon as you get out of the newbie zone.
Start by doing the crafting quest (in Canada it is the one that has you make the cold resist object). After that go to the table and drop anything highlighted in your inventory onto the development tab, that breaks them into components and levels up your crafting very quickly. Talk to the trainer about scematics and you'll see a container tab, buy the four slot one and then make a bunch.
Alternately I believe you can just buy them from other players.

They also show up in loot drops from time to time. I found a 12 slot one today off a Viper mob.
