# 1 Forum needs better rules and harsher penalties.

Seriously, this stuff was funny for like three days, now it's just getting stupid.

People who troll and flame should be banned from the forums--not from the game, and they should still be able to read it.

People who can't articulate their thoughts civilly should be temporarily banned and/or have their threads locked at a much swifter pace.

It's almost impossible to have any kind of reasoned discussion with anyone on these forums about anything for the last three days.

The same thing happened with the beta exp nerf, and, really, even when things are relatively calm there's always people going around trolling and flaming and just generally making the community suck.

These people add nothing to discussions on what should be changed. They add nothing to discussions on builds or favorite heroes. They add nothing to the community except headaches.

I'm going to go ahead and guess this thread will quickly become a prime enough example of what I'm talking about that I don't even have to go around and find people acting like ten year olds to link here.

Seriously, guys, the forums are important as that they're how people are going to see your community before they play the game. If people see you have no control over your community and that it is mostly made of people who are too busy insulting each other to get through a discussion, they're probably going to have second thoughts about wanting to play with them. The forums affect how a company and their games are seen just as much as the things that devs post on the front page.

Many people have valid issue's that are directly a reaction to actions by Cryptic.

Your irritation should be directed at Cryptic for allowing this very easy to solve issue that they created on the first day of launch. All they have to do is give out a single respec and lower the costs so that they are actually viable, OR they could increase the drop rate to match the pricing as right now it is utterly outlandish in the current game economy.

Mythic lost it's CEO because of how they treated people and refused to listen to the customer base. With that as a lesson I do not understand the current behavoir by Cryptic.

Over policing the forums would be a pretty foolish thing to do right now.

Honestly, the people complaining about the patch are usually pretty civil about it. They're like "Oh god everything sucks, I will quit" which might be kind of annoying but isn't flaming anyone.

The problem I have is mostly with the people defending it who tend to outright flame the people complaining, say things like 'QQ more nub' 'L2P' 'You guys must really suck at this game' 'If you can't beat henchmen after the patch I don't know how you can tie your shoelaces in the morning' etc. etc.

That said: This is not a patch thread.

Please don't make it into a patch thread.

Hmm..."Ban everyone whose complaining" ? o.0 Sounds awfully similiar to the SOE forums during the SWG NGE days :)

Interesting how it's starting to lean towards that even by just one person's wishes...

How about the rule that if you are not nice Ravenstein comes to your house and confiscates your soul?

Free Speech is all well and good, but this is a privately owned forum, not a public forum. It doesn't actually exist here.

Did you read the post?

People who flame should be banned. Very very rarely are the flamers the people complaining. When it does happen, it's usually because they've been made angry by other people flaming them for complaining.

If anything, harsher rules about insults would make it safer to complain.

Sounds alright to me. Just as long as the soul confiscation keeps them from posting more.

While I don't think being articulate should be a prerequisite for posting on a forum, I think being civil is.

Good point.

What I really meant in the first place anyway.
