Been sifting through the past 15 pages or so of this forum and haven't seen anything about Ice Builds. Anyone experiment with anything or have any great ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I've got a lvl 18 Ice build right now. So far, the damage out put is good, not great, but very consistent. I went dex and recovery focus for stats so it feels like i crit 50% of the time (its actually like 30ish) but I really just have all dex and recovery so far. As for talents, I just went down the tree and got Shards, Blast, shatter, cage, wall of ice, ice burst and ice form. I have a damage for each situation, I can kite and slow. The only downside is I don't do enough damage to really solo slaughter people in pvp. What I ended up doing was rolling with a munitions gadgets friend who does most of the damage. I cage, interupt and slow his targets and just try to avoid focus fire from everyone else.

Ice is fun, probably middle-range in terms of power potential, but fun. You mostly end up staying within the tree though, I found. It's sorta unique in that almost all the abilities synergize in someway through a mix of ice cages and the chill debuff to create combo attacks that give you boosted damage. Depending on how you want to go about doing it exactly, you've got some different options. Some of the basic essentials though are stuff like shatter (generally better after you get a chilling attack and once to make ice cages), and a mass chiller (either ice shield, ice form, or frost breath). If you go with ice form primarily you miss out on passive defenses though, so be warned you might be kinda frail, relatively speaking.

With the nerf to ice form, Im not sure how much damage ice can pump out now.
The whole tree is OP in group pvp though with the way that chill works...

Pve is little harder, but considering how frikin easy this game was, that's a much needed change andd I'm all for the nerfs.
To the OP, IMO ijust don't see anymore the point of taking dex without ego as well on ice build. End I feel really benefits ice, but dex without egos crit buff doesn't do as much for you as say con or rec. Just my experience from testing ice inclosed, I found ice to be end heavy. Going something like end/rec allows for greater dps.
I went end/rec finally as I prefer it over end/dex.

I dont get why noone takes ice storm or says its no good.
I think it rocks with the advantage where they damage themselves when they attack you.
It sure lets me kill groups faster with icestorm then ice breaths and shatter.
And in pvp its a serious kill skill.
Put icestorm on them and if they attack anyone, including you, they will die. The advantage gives big damage hits to the player.
Anyone close to them has the buff applied to them also.
I used to always icebreath and then shatter but nowadays in pvp , im lvl 21 now, i just icestorm them all.
Its fun to see them suicide on their own attacks lol. Most of the time they dont seem to realize they are killing themselves by attacking. Also in ffa games i just hang up there in the air and apply ice storm below me and watch them die lol.
Not to mention its a great pet killer skill and for me THE skill to kill master villains etc with. Sure kills them alot faster then me doing ice blasts.
Plus its cheap on energy.

Take Snow Storm!
Snow Storm is an amazing ability, Not only can you move around while mantaining it, but it persists after being cast. So it acts as a dot. This means after you can block, charge up a frost blast, or charge up more energy while its freezing your foes.
No Henchman has survive even a partially maintained Snow Storm, and Villains rarely survive it twice. And for super villains it serves as a way to damage them while you block damage. Keep in mind if you get it to crit, all of its damage ticks after will be crits as well. ticks of about 190 no one can survive for long.
I have it since level 6, Its almost all I use now to take care of any enemies. Shatter/Frost breath take too much energy and time to set up!

Thanks guys for more advice. :) I've recently toyed with Snow Storm and I think it has a huge role in PvP + PvE.
