Am I the only one who wishes that patch notes and skill descriptions had numbers?

Right now it's very, very difficult to fully understand skills and how they work without having players test and come up with rough estimates as to the damage range/protection range/healing range of any given skill.
Don't you think it's important to have that kind of information about skills? At this point I'm just taking things that seem right and hoping that I made a good decision. Also, I'm reading patch notes and wondering just how much certain skills (and even which skills?) were adjusted. Forum posts that say "this skill seems to be nerfed by around 40%" and "I did 2400 damage!" are difficult to put in perspective. How will I know which skills and talents to invest in if I don't see the numbers?
Here's hoping that more information about skills can be provided.

Might want to keep a regular note on your main powers in terms of what they do....Just so you have an idea of what is happening. There are so many different factors, that kind of infomation is not directly useful except as kindling.
They have pretty decent disclosure on stats in game, so you can tell what has been changed.

No, the numbers are always better.
But for some reasons, the numbers are usually missing :)

I'd really love a thread with some numbers if you have the time to make one. Otherwise, I'd love to contact you in game if you're not busy.

They better have some real patch notes in the future. I havent seen anything this amateur in dozens of MMOs. Then again they clearly weren't even interested in playtesting these drastic changes so I guess hiring testers for an internal test server is higher priority than hiring a patch notes guy.

You can see the numbers in game. At the bottom of the power description in the Powers window when you're training, there's a link for "Advanced Description" or something to that effect. You click there and you can see all the numbers before you take the power.
I do have to agree that the patch notes leave a bit to be desired. "We changed this power some" isn't very helpful. Looking at the changes to PFF and Field Surge, how do we know what changes were intentional and what's a bug?
