I see all the threads about KB powers being a problem but I think it's STR not working correctly to mitigate KB effects. If it isn't broke then it has some really underwhelming effects in low level PvP.
I have it at 70+ on a lvl 15 toon and I don't notice any change in KB effects on me from when I had lower STR. The increases melee damage part seems off as well. My single blade toon in offensive might as well be swinging a limp banana peel.
Anyone notice a threshold yet of when or if STR actually starts to lessen the sting of KB powers? I know a while back a STR stat of about 150+ could make you almost un-KBable (against force) but shouldn't stuff like this scale for lower tiers because you can't get it that high at levels 1-21?.....
I don't think it should be easy to negate KB effects but STR SS+ innate talent+ talent points+ gear for -KB effects and nothing to show for it but maybe some piddly return that I've yet to notice? with a focus like that a toon should be almost immune.

I've seen people with STR of 110 have issues against peopel specced specifically for KB.
It kinda reminds of me of when they nerfed Acro in CoH and Force Bolt from Defenders became almost a death sentence...
There needs to be some kind of suppression timer on KB, or some other way to boost your KB resist outside of just innate talent points and superstats ect ect...
KB Res souns good...as in a percentage if possible. Higher the percentage of KB res you have the less the KB affects you. It may knock you outta your guard for a sec...but it won't bounce you off the wall.

Back in beta I tried superstating STR and focusing on STR items solely because of knockback, and used +100% and +50% knockback resistance gear. I didn't notice much difference at all, and ended up just forfeiting it.
I'm pretty sure they've mentioned working on a knockback immunity or diminished returns akin to what we have on holds now, so I'll wait for that before worrying too much about it.

I'm not really into the suppression timer idea too much....rather the STR stat working better against it (in the lower levels at least). There is a threshold or at least there was where KB is alomst completely impossible other than a little stutter step from a full blast that interupts but I've only seen it in upper T3 and 4.

If they charge a KB move, it will almost always work without str calculation. Not sure why... just does. The part I find bothersome is KB brakes block... shouldn't it atleast lesson the KB?
