so i have been going missions this past 3 days with my buddy and we duo'd all the way up to 38 and 2 bars, with missions. Now so close to 40 but yet so far because we are over 1.5mil of exp away this includes the rest of 38 and 39. and yes we have done just about 98% of the quests so don't say look harder cause there isn't any more quests. so i am sad to say i will have to do public quests or grind off scared straight for 12.9k each time we do it. we did run into a dry spot were we did that quest 23 times in order to finish off a level. I hope they add more quests in later or something cause it does become annoying grinding the same quest over and over again.

I don't think you guys get it, there's content gaps once you get past 30. But not many.
If you do all of the open missions you come across, and do the 5 man instances when you get them, then you can get to 32 with no gaps and no grinding. However, quests quickly start to run short as you approach 38...
Supplimenting leveling with PvP games also helps even out the progress.

They're going to advanced beta test the content (or lack thereof) for us. :p

Why do people feel the need to tell people how to play? If someone planned ahead or just has the time to play and they level fast, why does it matter? If anything it might help the slower people so the devs have a chance to fix the problem areas (32-34 38-40). I would prefer not having to grind xp seeing as mobs give so little.

I'm going to quote myself here, as I'm sure people will post hatemail-esque things to the OP.

Comparing it to other games, like street fighter.. some people like to rush in and deliver beatdowns.. others like to hang back and wait to counter.. both styles are fine and they are personal preference of the player. Stop judging people. |

i figured out why people try to rush through the content.
subscription fees.
they feel the need to get the "most out of their money" so they will try to get to max level the fastest.
im glad i got lifetime sub because really its a godsend, i don't feel the need to rush or DO IT ALL NOW. i could take a week long break, get back into it, casually play off and on etc etc.
Also to the question "why tell people how to play" Because brand new MMOs lack endgame content, and you will get bored/quit within the first month. Meanwhile, you sky rocketed past 99% of the ACTUAL content in the game.

In EQ, we rushed through content because we were a competitive raiding guild and there was some satisfaction in being able to say "First ______" or "I got the first ______ on the server (in game)."
In CoV, I rushed through content because:
1) I was having fun playing the game, and for me that meant developing the character. Buying powers and slots and seeing how it all worked out
2) I genuinely enjoyed playing the character and, having just broken things off with a girl I'd been in a LTR with, had lots of time on my hands.
However, people who rush to max level should expect things like content gaps, bugs, lack of end-game for a new product.

You forget one thing... if someone was on alpha, closed beta and open beta he is not gonna take the same time leveling as a newcommer.
Or do you think your 5th toon is gonna take the same time to level as the first? (not to say the 50th hehe)
