And it's frustrating that out of all the overpowered abilities, they took care of all of mine while leaving mini mines, that uppercut with the knockup, knockaround in general, taser arrow, frozen footsteps, teleport, and many others alone and unmolested.

I'm too OC to keep him. I can't even log him in anymore. Can't do it. Even told best buy to cancel my order, not sure if they actually will at this stage in the game. But it's just so frustrating. To get owned in pvp by people using these abilities when I'm trying to stick to a themed build that took me a while to optimize before the nerfs started rolling in. And hell idiots still keep calling for more nerfs to pyre and regen. FU aholes.

The fate of me playing this game now rests in a best buy customer service decision because of the lopsided way balancing is being done.

Your talking about the PvP aspect. I argue if you really want a PvP-centric gameplay then you should look into WAR, or AoC. The PvP in this game was pretty much tacked on to solidify an additional experience. The abilities your speaking of were nerfed for PvE influence. not PvP.

You should make a character for the sake of playing a cool character.

If you are playing for a build, count on change and count on disappointment. Builds, powers, effects can all change, but once you create a character you love, you, at least, have the same character through good or bad.


If Superman lost his super speed and laser vision, he would have a hard time heating things up. He would still be superman. If Batman (Bruce) lost all his money, his home, cave, cars, etc. He would still be batman. WHO IS YOUR SUPER HERO?

Not to sound snarky or anything....But maybe you should re-roll. I'm certain the dev's will get around to gutting all the power sets before long and then we can look forward to more of these useful threads.

Also pvp in this game is just an add-on, not the main focus. Killing npc's is what the dev's were mainly going for in this game. Had they meant for meaningful pvp, there would be some kind of overarching goal to fulfill or objective to take. As it stands now the only reason to pvp is to look like a Mexican wrestler and to complain about which power is OP.

Not to say has anything to do with the other but at a guess you never played City of Heroes/Villains did you?

Call me eccentric but I purposely stay far from any Regen builds after playing Cryptics Regen Scrapper pretty from the day it went live and got whacked with the nerf bat at least once every "Issue" they came out with.

It always is cool, perhaps too cool for some and down it goes. Besides you wanna PvP then yeah join the FoTM club bout your gonna see ... also a lesson learned from Cryptic. Someone mentioned WAR and **** but they run the same..bunch of FoTM builds running around. I would say go play Shadowbane at least its a true PvP game, but again your gonna see FoTM build/spec groups.

So all that said, try to enjoy the game as is or join the club... because no one really cares if you just go away.<--not meant derogatory either
