I've been having trouble with figuring out the actual advantage to picking up some of the "advantages" for different moves. I'm not sure if anyone else is having a similar experience, but two powers in particular have advantages that just seem to make the power terrible.

1. Ego Storm - Malignant Manifestation (i think is what its called)
This was the WORST. The stated effect sounded cool, it allows you to no longer have to maintain the effect allowing you to execute other moves. However, I tested the damage on them move before and after getting the advantage and I was horrified. Before, each pulse did 200+ damage to all nearby enemies and really put the hurt to them. After, the little pink cloud I was able to summon did about 30-40 damage each pulse.... The cool down on the ability was significantly decreased however, so I tried summoning multiple of them but each new one expired the last, not to mention the damn little thing is stationary allowing enemies (especially in PvP) to simply walk away from it... am I missing something here?

2. Sword Cyclone - Butcher's Blades
I am dual blades spec, with some telepathy, and Sword Cyclone is far and away my most damaging attack, so of course I looked to rank this up first. As there was no tooltip at the time for what the Butcher's Blades advantage did, I picked it up just to see. It coverts the maintain ability on it (which allows you to spin around dealing tons of damage) into a single swipe charge ability for only 120% of the damage of just ONE of your normal spins. It also causes you to be still during the charge when you can normally move throughout the maintain, again allowing enemies time to block or run... again, am I missing something here?

Has anyone else had a bad experience with an advantage that might as well have a "dis" in front of it? As far as I can tell, some of these need some work...

Even worse is that you lose an asthetic improvement when choosing an advantage over a rank. Each rank makes the power look better in some way. At least, most powers are like this.
