# 1 Is Assault Rifle worth using when you have 2gun mojo?

Ok, I might be imagining things, but it seems that two-gun mojo does more damage, at a lower cost than Assault Rifle. Am I just crazy, or is this true? I find that I can mow down mob after mob after mob with tw-gun mojo, but with Assault Rifle, I kill two mobs, and I am out of energy. Is it better for killing higher up villains? Or is there something I am missing?

two-gun mojo is cheaper energy for the same damage.. but the assault rifle will do more damage over the same time. For example.. two gun has a .5 second interval and hits a total of 8 times over 3.5 seconds (twices at the begining and then once ever .5 seconds.) At the same lvl range two gun hits for 40 a hit say.. for 320 total damage. The assualt rifle on the other hand has the same .5 second interval. but goes for 5 seconds. for 11 hits. (2 at the begining again and then ever .5 seconds) But the assualt rifle does scaling damage. the longer it hits the more damage it does. It starts out with one biger hit like 60, then will hit for 25 then start to scale up ending with the last few hits around or over 100. so if you get a full burst in you do alot of damage. But at a high enegery cost.

Ok, but for general killing and grinding, Two-Gun Mojo is my bread and butter, right? Because I feel like I should have gotten Shotgun, or some sort of AoE instead of Assault Rifle.

Yes. Assault Rifle is "ok" but for grinding you are better off with shotgun or minigun + 2-gun

I tested assault rifle at lvl 40 in OB and I can tell you that the damage was superior by quite a bit. Two-Gun mojo costs less energy though and it also has the enrage effect if you maintain it fully. The enrage is kinda nice since it will boost all your damage afterwards for quite a while (HINT HINT). All in all I would say that the question you should ask yourself is would you rather have two pistols? Or would you like an assault rifle as your bread and butter damage (at least for lower levels)?
I went dual pistols on one of my toons just cause I think its much cooler.

Either way it won't break you.

WRONG.

First off...

1) Assault Rifle has two fire options. High DPS burst fire (with perk.) or Maintained Fire.

2) Assault Rifle has DOUBLE the range of 2 Gun Mojo. This is VERY big. It means the difference of being VERY far away from the enemy- and having to be VERY close to them.

3) The perk for 2 Gun MoJo requires you to be point blank for the 50% damage boost. That's 0 range for the perk bonus. 50 range max without perk bonus. Assault Rifle has a 100 range max, and it's irrelevant how close you are.

4) Assault Rifle did more damage for me, because it fires for longer. Faster (high) burst damage IMO. But more energy draining. I never tried the burst fire tap option of AR- which does more damage per hit than maintained fire AR.

5) Two Gun Mojo gives you ENRAGED quality. Assault Rifle does not.

6) Assault Rifle gains in damage as you maintain it more. Two Gun Mojo is constant.

Many many many players fail to realize the vast uniqueness and diversity of every power. Besides the energy building powers- I've YET to run into a single power that does the same thing.

When looking at a power, look carefully into the details for:

1) Secondary Effect

2) Perk Effect

3) Range

4) Damage Delivery (Burst, Tap,Heavy One-Hitter, Maintained DoT, etc.)

People constantly think AR and 2gun mojo are the same, only cosmetic.
People say the same thing about shotgun and smg- despite one having knockdown, the other more damage. The former charged 100% knockdown, the latter 15% DoT blood damage.

I actually pick both 2 Gun moJo and Assault Rifle. Why? Because in PvP, sometimes you need or have to have range. Rather because you need to stay safe (low hp) or because they're far away.

This would confirm for me that Assault Rifle DOES do more damage. Thanks. I was beginning to feel it as I leveled up higher.
