I'm using Thermal Reverb with Brimstone (Advantage: Aftershock) and I've noticed that the Clinging Flames requirement isn't working. I've charged up Brimstone in the middle of an empty street and stood in the flames and still get the 20 Energy tick regardless.
Of course, I could be wrong and the powers have changed, in which case, the tooltip is inaccurate. If anyone is interested in testing this out I'm curious to see what you find.

Thermal Reverb gives you energy if you are near enemeies affected by your Clinging Flames OR if you're standing in a fire patch (eg Brimstone adv, Flashfire, Pyre). It's always worked this way.

Roger that. In that case, the tooltip might just need some clearing up. The "flavor" description says:
" Thermal Reverberation allows you to drain heat energy from the environment around you."
while the advanced description says:
"Being near targets affected by your Clinging Flames grants +20 Energy. This effect can only occur once every 3 sec."
Edit: Other half thinks the description might have actually said the "OR" portion prior to revamp of powers?
I just started playing again in the last couple of weeks, so I have NO idea what's going on anymore.

Yeah .. has always been that way. It was always funny that you could fill your Energy with that trick
