A melee set where the powers in the framework use the "emanation point" dropbox to select different "skins" for it based on the travel power selected.

It would have different "skins" like how the Controllable Pets in the game do though except instead of unlocking via rank, it unlocks to the TP selection.

For example: A Lunge, would at default would pair up well with Athletics or Super Jump, though if Flight was selected, then the dropbox in the power would open up a "Flight" skin; which would change the look of it to be more in line with "swooping" rather than leaping in to attack.

Though if it was Teleport, then it would use the phasing out/in FX of teleport during the transition animations of the same attack.

Selecting 2 travel powers provide 2 options per power, and retconning out of a travel power would just revert the selection to Default.

Now new skins don't have to be available immediately, the basic Free powers could be done at launch, and future ones could be done as part of a Travel Power package in the C-Store, where if you just want the Travel Power, then you spend the standard point rate, though if you want the skin packaged in too, then it would just cost more.

Existing Travel Powers could also have skins made and released in conjunction with specific Travel Power discount offers. so for example, "10% off all Fire-based travel powers w/ the release of the Fire skins" etc.

As most of these Skins would be just FX changes, there can be "catch-all" skins made for elemental themes, and stuff like Swinging or Flight may only have subtle animation changes, though hopefully the original animations would be designed with this flexibility in mind so as to not make it as taxing as it currently sounds to develop something like this.

This won't replace the need for a "Fire Sword" as a power in the future, as these powers are unique to themselves embodying the theme of using Speed rather than Strength in attacks without it being associated with any Martial Arts.

Finally regarding the Archetype, it could either just force the choice based on the Travel Power chosen, or lock it to the Default version as is.
