Anyone else have a crash, and crypticerror starts and norton wants to delete it as a high threat? Is crypticerror.exe a file for Champions? Its in the main game folder so i'm assuming it is. I told it not to delete the file and to flagged it as an exception to scans. Anyone else have this or anyone from the dev team know whats up with it? As I said, I was just playing, had an issue where the launching into a smash from que the game client crashed and this file wanted to run but nortons grabbed it.

As the joke goes, Mcaffe (however it's spelled) and Norton are both more viruses than anything else.
Ignore the message. Norton doesn't know what it's doing.

Interesting - I have just had a crash and yes Norton **** for brains is giving me the ole heave ho with...
This according to Norton **** for brains is "suspicious behaviour".
Btw do AVG or Avast have the ability to work out that game cheats are not killer viruses?

I really like Comodo Internet Security program. Is free, is a bit of a pain to learn how to use it, but is nice :3
I also like AVG and Avast!! :3

I found some help for this on the WoW forums a few months back.
You can set Crypticerror.exe to be an exception in Norton's scan, then it won't freak out.
The program is starting a new thread and phoning home to Cryptic, after a huge hard drive access.
In Norton's cyber mind this is straight up virus activity: write itself all over the place and
spreading itself to outside IP adddresses.
