Title says it all. Silvers who know next to nothing about the game and what gold players are doing, shouldn't be allowed to spam tag gold players. There's already a /ignore function in the game. There's no need for a silver player (or even a gold player come to think of it) to be able to spam tag someone.
I'm not sure if anyone else is familiar with spam tagging, but this is what happens... You're totally unable to communicate with anyone. Even through /tells. It might be amusing/entertaining from a RP stand point to try and communicate with the group using emotes, but there's this, and this one is a kicker, if you're in a group, you'll never get into the same instance as them. I know because the group I was in had qued up for Nemcon, then I got hit with the spam tagging, then the window popped. I couldn't communicate with the group so I figured I'd just do my thing and help out. I click on the window and it pops me into a Nemcon instance. The rest of the group got popped into a totally different instance. We were still grouped, but were in 2 totally different instances.
Again, limit spam tagging or just get rid of it totally. It serves no function except to ruin the gameplay of anyone that gets hit with it. Gold players that get hit with it tend to not play and wander off to find other games. Lost revenue for the game. Silver players who get hit with it just go and make new silver accounts or stop playing. Either way though, they tend to not speak well of the game to others, which would mean less people "checking it out" and less chances for more revenue.
I suppose the spam tagging wouldn't be so bad if you could plead your case before the 24 hr timer expires on it. Unfortunately, there aren't any GMs online to plead your case to before the 24 hrs usually.
