No, it generally kills melee might or heavy weapons as viable frameworks and relegates them to tanks because they will lose about 40% of their damage potential. Most I've ever seen might do with a full charge demolish hit is 4500. Basic electric form electricity does about 17k. If these changes go live, might is dead and I'll quit.

Well, FF deals less damage (never did the math, but a reduction of 30% on enrage probably lowers damage by ~12%-20%, dependant on other buffs), but they at least have access to Enrage to gain their 8 stacks (which probably can be specced to start out with stacks aswell, like forms tend to).
Thing is, Forms get changed aswell, just see the bigger picture behind it, damage gets lowered across the board, and I think there are hopefuly even more changes to come for other stuff.

However, the ATs Behemoth and Devastator don't have Enrage at all, so if they have to sit on a single stack they lose like ~40% of their potential damage (let alone aggro for the Behemoth haha). Now that sounds ridiculous... =P

One would hope, with such a sweeping change, the AT selections will be revisited.

Right, devs? *sets up torch and pitchfork vendor kiosk*

Yea.. they'll almost have to do a rework of ATs to accompany this. Probably a quick fix of adding the appropriate toggle choice(s) in the place of an underperforming power or a current stacking power.

The tricky part will be giving appropriate choices to some of the more hybrid style archetypes like Soldier.

Hopefully we can work some forum magic and get at least one toggle for hybrid characters, but worse case scenario, you get focus which will mostly buff melee, but also buff ranged.

Okay, what's this AOPM nerf I'm hearing about? I tried the link on the previous page but it told me I wasn't authorised to use it, which is odd as I'm a Gold player. I can only assume it links to something on the PTS forum as I'm not signed up there.

It's all speculative, devs floating ideas past players who are (A) giving constructive feedback and getting them rethought and improved, and (B) whining and arguing about who's overpowered and who's not and which builds are going to be unplayable, as per usual.

The short version of the current idea is in Hybrid role AOPM will give smaller buffs, while in Support role it'll give even smaller self-buffs but much bigger buffs to your allies.
