Sat night is apparently idiotic lowbie night.
Multiple failed runs for no good reason - people running forward and agroing EVERYTHING in Recruiting drive, 4 times in a row - and guess what? the people doing it have no passive and zero buffs showing. Dying in 2 seconds - run forward, agro - bam. Same couple people dying at least 5 times. Anyone else that tries to start cleaning the mess up gets attacked by 20 guys. Not a uber tank? Bam dead.
Soul Siphon run, and at least two people have no passive and zero buffs - so basically they were probably level 6.
Etc etc - If higher level players who are not utter morons and leechers are expected to carry groups when they do succeed - shouldnt we be getting paid or something for doing the work?
Anyone under level 17 should not be in Alerts. Period. Or have a all lowbie queue - so they can all suffer together and wonder why they keep failing until they realize everyone else in the group is leeching too.

It's not completely lowbies, some of it is people just being flat out bad.
I took a level 13ish character into a SMASH and managed to pull agro off the tank (who admittedly had no CC or CS, but honestly I don't expect this) doing nothing but repeatedly spamming Gust due to the way Sidekicking works. That is literally what I did: I stood 100 feet away and just charged gust over and over, moving in only to use my EB when needed, and managed to pull boss agro off everyone else in the Alert.

I checked on a few people to confirm - but if someone has NO PASSIVE - they are a lowbie.
One guy ran with twice, and did little to help - an hour later I saw he was level 9.
Added to the frustration, whether or not the group was lowbies - every SINGLE Recruitment drive tonight people agroed EVERYTHING on the map. Check that, there was 1 run that didnt happen.

Yeah, I get it. People suck.
But you can get a passive below level 17.

Just stressing this now, since we're obviously going to see a huge outburst of "OMG NOT AE CRYPTIC" threads again by ******** people who buy into what they hear from other people too much when we finally get the Foundry in CO.

The only thing I do witness that is stupid is some people want to do their own thing and pull agro from other groups the team isn't fighting as they dive into combat with their dps toon and try to tank on they're own get killed leaving the team now being attacked from all sides. Even this is getting rarer as people learn.
As for people just levelling to 40 in alerts if that's what they enjoy so why should I bother they are the same as RP'ers, PVPers, power levellers or any other way people play the game to have fun I just let them be.

There's a clear difference between lowbies and just plain bad players. I've been on teams with level 15~ people only and we finished Smash alerts.
No, the real issue is people who keep knocking Hi Pan in Recruitment Drive after you've pulled him away from all the mobs, only to have him fly and pull ALL THE OTHER mobs. If people do this once, okay, it happens, but I've had runs where people kept consistently doing this despite the obvious curbstomp that followed. You don't need to be a low or high level to know that, just use basic logic...

Level 15+ is good enough, but if you have a tank that is level 6 only, you have a problem, especially when nobody else is sturdy enough to hold aggro for a while without beeing ripped to shreds.
Same with Dps, if you have lower DD's what will they do ? They can't DD with 2 skills besides the energy builder...
add to that the bad players and it's getting really evil...

I played an Alert as a lvl 7 healer once and did just fine. No deaths or anything. But then again, I knew getting into the fray would be stupid with no buffs or decent items. I think its more of a matter of skill than level. A lvl 7 can run any alert OK with the heirloom items.
