When I was in sales I found that I could make more money from selling people ala carte then in a bundle, but with bulk I could provide more services. So doing a hybrid sales strategy maxes profit.

on the bright side, since freeform is given to the silvers. cryptic might actually focus on making freeform better for us all

Maybe they will raise the level cap. which might mean new content.

even if it is possible to get freeform slots its still almost impossible it has the lowest chance of anything in the game I've bought 31 freeform bags with my c store points and opened them all with not a single freeform slot AND i've been doing the dailies to earn a free one with all 19 of my characters every single day and after weeks still nothing.... its so rare that I think less than 80 players in the game have actually gotten one from a bag. I still don't know anyone that has one just other players that say they know someone that knows someone that has gotten one.

I think they should just put it directly for sale in the C store for like 1k c store points per slot and a 8k for all your current open slots to convert to FF slots.

Not trying to be rude here but exaggeration and hyperbole, especially when the facts are so readily checked, are not helpful to your cause.

The FreeForm bags have been available for less than ONE week, so you cannot have been doing the dailies for them on all 19 of your characters for WEEKS. I do wonder how you came by your, "less than 80," number as well.

For what its worth there have been as many people on these forums commenting on getting the FF slot within the first couple of dozen bags as have stated that they share your situation.

this is the 2nd week... so when i said weeks i mean since it came out duh.
less than 80 is a number I came up with from hearing people in the game saying "I know a guy that got 1" and I can count... most do not get one... you have one? you know of anyone that has one?
I've read some of the comments on these forums and so far the ones that say they have gotten them but then their account is already LTS not one of them have been silver or has less than 5 characters. the more characters you have the better your chance since you can basically grind out that many free bags a day but as I have said i have 2 pages of heroes that have been doing it every day and still not a single freeform slot, and that's after buying 31 bags from the c store directly opening them all up. It's about like going for Therakials Sword... sure it can drop but it's not garenteed and can take grinding it for weeks or months, maybe years. I could have bought one directly with all the points I wasted buying the bags for a chance that didn't pay out.

I agree that it would be a good idea to put these in the C-Store. My concern was not that you wanted to be able to buy them directly, but rather that exaggeration gives an opening to those who disagree with FF for silvers to be able to dismiss your point based on how it is couched.

I want FF slots to be available in the C-Store as well, and would rather not see the argument for them be dismissed because of how they are being requested.

Way too cheap - Freeform slots will have to be more than the monthly subscription price, else sub numbers are likely to take a huge hit given the current sub model offerings vs. F2P. Price of LTS will also have to be taken into account when you're talking about a "bulk" unlock for all slots, or just the individual pricing.

It will be interesting to see where they go with these. Given the bags popped in without notice, I suspect we'll be seeing the Freeform in the C-Store much sooner than they let on. I personally hate the idea of them being added, but if it's at a cost that doesn't further diminish the value of a sub AND delivers funds that improve the game (not the C-Store, the GAME), oh well.

Be interesting to see the variations - new FF slot, converting an existing character to a FF slot, added price for power coloring per slot or account (for all FF slots), etc.

Even more interesting will be what they give Gold/LTS to compensate, if anything, since FF is really the defining feature of subscription. Again, I don't expect much if anything, and by buying LTS out of the gate, I gave up any voice I had from the start. Ironically, given the amount of time I've actually played the game (given how long it was unplayable) vs. what I paid, if F2P and Freeform slots had been available at the start, that's probabyl the model I would have bought into.

and make it too expensive and LTS becomes cheaper than buying them for all your characters and no one buys them... you have to make them affordable. honestly the micro transactions from buying them one at a time will yeild more money for them than subscriptions because a person could buy 20 of them for 20 FF characters and the 1000 each or the 8000 would be more than the money from subscriptions because more people are willing to buy singular things from the C store than to commit to a subscription and the people with subscriptions would still buy them so they can have FF if they decided to go silver. People that stop subscriptions are 90% more likely to stop them weither they have a silver FF or not... there is a reason they stop.

LTS already has special costumes that no one else has access too and they get access to the VIP. Gold members get the monthly 400 C store points every month for free and both LTS and gold can recolor their powers while silver can not even with a Freeform character. Freeform was just an extra bonus before this happened.

It actually makes the game more desirable to play to silver players if they can build their own heroes and some of them just don't have the funds to pay a subscription or the characters/time to grind a free FF bag every day. If they could just buy one slot of it at a character price (less than subscription) more would tend to buy them and when they get hooked on the Freeform system they will buy more from the C store when they have the money its not about putting all your hopes on 1 sale its about keeping customers buying continually. Most grocery stores dont' charge you $100 for a head of lettuce because of how much they have to pay a farmer to bring it to him they charge a cheap price to keep customers buying them every week.

I guarantee that Cryptic and PWI makes more money off the C-Store micro transactions than the subscriptions it makes no sense to try and force them to go subscription when only 18 to 30 percent of the game players actually go subscription when 40 to 65 percent do micro transactions.
