I figured this post would bring up some valid points. You know, things that came with the On Alert update:
- CC immunity being too good.
- Lack of pvp rewards.
- Pvp rewards being pvp specific.
Ever since I hit 40 back in '09 I focused on pvp only. For the first time in years, I'm a pve'er again (which is fine). Not really because I want to be, but because in my mindset pvp is really dead.

The 5x boost to ALL CC made NPC mez too strong (for those who PvE) and it does not really respect hold strength granted by role, stats and specs). It was a Crypric (tm) fix.. aka lets just paint over that pothole and let cars drive through it anyway. You still cannot augment the STRENGTH of a hold via any of these means.
All incapacitates ... ARE AWESOME (due to forum guides i am not allowed to say anything bad about incapacitates.. our gift from the gods). The game obviously needs MANY more of these.. lmao.
CC Resist (i have a lvl 40 with +76 CC resist) is great against incapacitates and only marginal against a paralyze (due to the 5x boost). I was suprised by this since i quit playing the game.. but paralyzes can still get a pretty effective hold on targets.
Stuns are OP with hold specific specs (up to 8 seconds that does not break on damage).
They took their broke ass system and decided to make it more broke.

Well Jay told me something about 4 months ago, two things really.
1. "The game is really picking up, I teamed with five people today!"
Obviously his ruby red quartz welder's helmet has been lifted and the reality was that the helmet
was not ruby red crystal quartz but covered in the blood of "game population bleed out". Nasty.
2. "I only play one of my fifty (or was it twenty-five) toons"
And Cryptic pretty much ruined that toon, from what I gather.
Every time multiple stacks of ego sprite do not stick to targets or a full charge of Telekinetic Eruption does zero damage and the mobs turn around like "did the dog fart?" I think of Jaybezz and hope he's in the forums saying something nasty about Cryptic so I don't have to.
This game is starting to take on six year old levels of role play:
"I telekinetic erupted you!"
"No you didn't"
"Yes I did"
"No you didn't"
"Yes I did!"
"No you didn't I shot you, one hit kill!"
"MOM! Cryptic Mobs wont' play fair"

Thank you everyone, that explained it. Well, to many changes at once usually mean to many bugs at once. But still, is it that hard to enjoy good things and forget bad, not other way around?

I hope you and others see that i have nothing nice to say about Cryptic. I still have nothing but love for you guys in PvP who i really enjoyed playing with.
There are very few (count on one hand) people who i generally dislike in the Hero Games (and the same people in Champions Online as a whole). I dislike 70% of the way the hero games are handled.
There were good things in this patch and I have purposefully ignored them because the bad simply outweighs the good.
THe people playing the game are not the problem.. I can sum all my issues with champions up rather easily. Balance, Reward, Lore and (to a much lesser extent) Marketing.
I love their character creator. I love freeform power system in general. I do not accept that having a freeform system cannot be balanced (PvE AND PvP). I do not accept that missions (hotspots) and play-styles (worthless holds in open misisons, no damage counts for using confuses) cannot be rewarded I do not accept that the game should cater powers, lore and dev time to majority Fantasy lore, as they should clearly be focusing on superhero lore. I do not accept that that the game cannot find the millions of comic book, superhero, gamer, and geek audience to 1) show interest/subscribe, 2) play and 3) pay.
The company's actions as a whole have ****ed me off alot more since they went to Atari and later PWE. That's economics tho.. I kept giving them my money. I've been asking for a telepathy passive since the day i loaded the game. I wanted to play a telepath in a superhero game.. apparently this consists of my character making "concentrating" poses while she does no damage, no soak, no heal and now (yes finally) no holds.
Please report my post for flaming as complaining about either telepathy or the Mez/Crowdcontrol/knockback system is a official (yet invisible) rule in all the forum posts.
