# 1 New Patch Drop Survey

So, how've you all been finding the drops? I figured I'd start this ball rolling and see what kind of data we can shake out of things. This isn't to determine anything - it's mostly a for-fun kind of thing for the sake of scientific curiosity.

This survey is simple - list your play time, what you were doing for that play time, what you got, and how you felt the rewards were. Maybe we can get some solid data out of this (like the fact some people may be lucky [expletives]), maybe we can get something approaching scientific certainty.

Let's start it off:

2 hour run - Demonflame (L40 Normal, Teamsize: Two)
3 Purples (mostly secondaries)
4 Greens (again, mostly secondaries with one primary)
4 MK4 Mods
4 MK5 Mods
8 UNTIL Recognition

Sentiments: I generally found the drops pretty acceptable. More then that dropped, obviously, but the loot was divvied up between myself and my compatriot (who helped prove that Sentinel Aura be crazy, especially combo'd properly). The above was the fair distribution that I obtained from the run personally (gave the purples to my friend without checking to see what they were, other then being CON/END heavy and better for her main then mine). It was their first time in Demonflame, so that accounted for some of the slowness (we stopped to fight things way more then I would have bothered solo).

Next time, I'll try and actually take better notes.

Quest of Elements Time taken 56 mins approx
2 x Blue primaries (both offence)
5 x r4 enhancements
2 x r4 armors
1 x r4 impact prism
1 x r4 growth amulet
8 x green secondaries
1 x blue secondary
1 x purple secondary
12 Until recognition
18 Silver recognition
Phase 5 There and Bat again... again (had it been burn em out it woulda taken longer but there woulda been more drops)

Hmm if I can contrive to do Unity and Unity 2 Quest of elements I can speed up my silver farming. The primary drop rate seems comparable to APs but I think for rank 5 mods I'm gonna have to do those too.

Quest of Elements again time taken 1hr 4 mins for bulk of quest 11 mins inc travel for special assignment
5 x green secondaries
3 x blue secondaries
1 x purple secondary
1 x r4 enhancement
2 x r4 armors
1 x r4 growth enhancement
1 x r5 impact prism
1 x r5 sentinels brooch
1 x bound nephilim swarm
1 x Costume unlock
4 x Until recog
18 x Silver recog
2 x Arms Caches opened on the way to Special Assignment (Of Serums and Secrets)

Observations:
Of serums and secrets featured level 38 baddies rather than lev 40s BUT that's where I got the r5 prism and r5 enhancement. Go figure!
Took longer than previous outing.. This is due to the differences between enemies. The dogz I fought in the first outing have beastial and munitions powers these are severely lacking in the damage department. Thus I was able to keep my Electric Squishy on Lightspeed during the run. I could go into a mob of 2 Ulfhednars + adds and just Lightning Storm em to death without feeling under threat.
The Nephilim on the second outing came as a very rude shock indeed. I had to get out of Lightspeed mode and play the game properly y'know like actually being careful. And the dratted small mobs, they don't cluster up so's I can AOE them... It's almost as if they don't want me to win! Now what kinda game design is that?
Got back to Whisper to turn quest in and she gave me another one YAY!

1hr15min - Whiteout (Normal) - L40
4 green (secondaries)
5 blues (3 secondaries, 2 primaries with 2 slots each)
1 MK4 enhancement
2 MK5 enhancement
3 10% Catalysts
9 UNTIL Recognition
Usual Whiteout goodies (4 devices, 1 sidekick)

Sentiments:
Given the time and the fact I got two very, very nice primaries out of it, I don't think that was too much time wasted at all. It was a bit lighter on the loot this time around, but Whiteout had a lot less combat then Demonflame did. I imagine Resistance, Serpent Lantern, and Demonflame will still be the bees knees for farming loot.

...I'ma go drool over my new primary now.

Demon Flame on leet man all the way
time spent circa 2hrs including lots of bio/eating and other breaks
5 x Green Secondaries
4 x Blue Secondaries
10 x Until recog
1 x 10% catalyst
1 x Acheronic mace
1 x Infernal wand
3 x armor r4
2 x enhancement r5
1 x armor r5
2 x sentinels brooch r4 and r5
1 x Impact prism r5
4 x costume unlocks

Thoughts...
Slim pickings (but then waddya expect from DF?)
Kinda buggy still
Iniitiates are very very sluggish I can melt down their comrades with Lightning arc and they'll still be standing there, sometimes I killed 2 x initiates with Lightning storm and they never got round to fighting. The blokes are on the ball but the initiates are asleep.
Luther Black clipped and briefly disappeared through the invisble crack in the world... But he came back!.... and clipped again. The king of lost hope clipped in the same place.

Point of interest I did this and my other sessions without re-equipping at all, then went into a grab alert just for the heck of it and didn't die and we won. Then of course the application crashed.

Whiteout leet level 40 actually they all are
Squishy electric shooter on all of em still haven't got round to equipping with the stuff i pick up
3 x costume unlocks (all of which i already had)
7 x green secondaries
3 x blue secondaries
1 x OBSOLETE blue secondary (Con impossible fossil) bug
1 x green primary utility
1 x armor r4
1 x enhancement r4
1 x Impact prism r5
1 x Steelhead grunt sidekick
1 x Artifact shard
1 x Roinesh travel thingy
1 x Kinetic reflection device thingy
4 x Until recog

Ruminations...
They worked on this.. They made the Sasquatch easier.. Sigh They somehow missed the fact that the Sasquatch was buggy but do-able. The big sticking point is still the General stage 2 fight at the very end. It is not about skill, it's about whether you can find the magic spot exploit. If you can well and good if you can't then just zerg him. I remembered why I hate this so much. I am not a plank but I can't always find the ****** magic spot and if I can't then it's zerging.
The Sasquatch fell through the floor when he died - don't think that should be happening.
Good news the animation with the cube worked properly both here and PTS. (the cube was intact and all the bits animated)
In short ok beginning, pickings a bit thin (so what) but that end fight reminded me not to do this without defensive passive toons.

Was the deprecated item for you dropping from the end of the first issue? I got one there as well and eliminated it from my equations entirely as inconsequential. I probably should have filed a bug report about it instead, but I was heavily distracted throughout the run (stupid cat).

i actually just did whiteout issue no. 1 and i got the exact same obsolete blue item. "impossible fossil" so yeah i think its a common bug that needs to be fixed asap. seeing that made me not want to finish the AP because i thought id continue getting old blues or no blue at all. (issue no. 2 boss i got no blue whatsoever.)

I thought the whole run was going to be like that (Issue 1 was pretty anemic on loot in general), but it picked up a lot towards the end (though I may run it again just to confirm some suspicions about a few things here and there... more bug reports. ;_; ).

Got my current replacement Primary Defense from the end boss (which I'm stubbornly not bothering with until 2 weeks from Launch of the new patch).
