# 1 Stat bonuses after 70?

Trying to find some information on what happens to bonuses after 70 or so.

I keep seeing comments that after 70 there is diminishing returns - but hard to find numbers on what that means.

Trying out different characters, and not sure what the effect is going to be of say super stat-ing say Int - how much of a power cost reduction do you get at 70, or 200? Strength melee damage? Dex crit bonus or dodge bonus? (Well anyone with dodge defense is going to have dex anyway...)

Do hit points keep going up the same amount? It seems roughly 15 hp per Con sometimes, does that change or keep going up - would that make the difference for hp later say 1500 more/less than if you went SS something else?

Similarly - looking at various ranged or aoe heavy damage builds - would the increased energy max from End be better or worse than a significant reduction in power costs by going Int?

Thanks, and if there is a good guide out there that would be cool too - I have looked and half the information is all from beta days, or else is very generic "Stuff increases with the stat" which isnt helpful really.

This only applies for Strength and (What will be) Ego damage bonuses. Strength currently has a hard cap of 20% at about 70 Strength, but that will be changing to a soft cap at the same time that Ego gets an own version for ranged damage.

Ok...so everything else keeps scaling up to 200? or past 200 too?

And - does anyone know how much Str affects Invulnerability - is it like 5 dr per 10 str or something like that? So a 200 str will give 100 dr?

As I remember Invulnerability scales with all of the SSs. Or is there any SS that provides more bonus to it then others? Not sure, but I don't think so.

And btw, PRE will get soft cap to, as STR and EGO.

And while I am here, can someone please explain to me what "soft cap" means? I understand "hard cap", but not "soft cap".

Invuln scales with your Superstats since F2P. Scaling with STR was before F2P .. so a loong time ago ;)

I might have been reading various builds/guide that are dated, it seems a lot of stuff I came across is from beta or near beta days.

So what does 'scaling with SS mean?'

+1 dr per 2 stat points? 4? 10? Or some formula based on level/stat combo?

I saw Kenps Sho nuff build I think that had 328 str, and 156 dr he said I think - which seems to be a pretty close to 2-1 conversion, but is it because of str or just whatever stat is that high - so if you took Int of 328 the dr would still be the same?

Many builds I read maybe were from 2009 and talked about needing Str for Invulnerability, but I guess that doesnt matter now.

The better your Superstats the better your defense. Its hard to say numbers since there is diminishing return
and also you need higher number with higher levels.

I guess there is no formula posted anywhere like '1 dr per 4 SS until 70, 1 dr per 6 until 150, 1 per 8 after that' etc.

No one's written a formula for the curve, but it's fairly steep. The diminishing returns @ 70 points will be in reference to three things with the upcoming patch.

EGO: 20% ranged damage bonus at 70 points, scales down rapidly from there. Also applies to Ego Blade powers.

STR: 20% melee bonus damage at 70 points, scales down rapidly from there. Does not apply to Ego Blades.

PRE: 20% healing strength bonus at 70 point, scales down rapidly from there.

At 150 points (roughly double), it was about a 26% bonus. At 220 (roughly triple), it was about 29% or so. I hope that gives you a good idea of the curve.

Thanks it does.

Heh follow up question then - Dex and Int? What dodge/avoidance is possible, and is it then not diminishing returns? Or Int for energy savings?
