If you see any enemy NPC in the Nest that isn't VIPER... such as Werewolves, Zombies, Lizards, Aliens, Cowboys, Demons, Robots.... basically, anyone classified as a Nemesis Minion, please either resist the temptation to help, or join the Minions' respective hero's team. They are doing a mission called 'Hung Out to Dry', and for the past 30 minutes, two others and myself were having a notoriously difficult time with this mission.

This isn't a hostile demand, moreso a polite request. You see, while good intentioned your attacking them may be, unless you're part of the hero's team, its more a detriment than an assist. It has a tendency to trigger the Nemesis minions' hostilities (ALL, of the minions, I might add), as well as spawning them in droves. I'm able to handle it due to my build focus, but others who are either Archetypes, or otherwise lack defensive/survival focusing, will be absolutely slaughtered by the onrush of Nemesis Minions, no matter how weak.

I can understand that this issue is primarily due to the overlapping 'rescues' being made, with the mission bringing you to the Viper Nest requiring that tourists be rescued. Just the same, the Nemesis mission also has that requirement, in addition to killing 15 Minions, which is why they respawn as they do. The best solution, if you do want to help, is to join forces, so that rescue credit is shared, and the enemy spawns are minimal.

TL;DR Version: Nemesis Minions in VIPER Nest. If they're not yours, please join up or let them alone.

Not sure, but I think Nemesis minions are hostile and will attack if you are close to them. Atleast yesterday I got attacked by some kind of robots or heavely armored mechs there. They sure weren't Viper, but if something attacks me, I kill it. So there is an explonation for that kind of behavior, it's called self defence.

But if Nemesis minions aren't hostile, then forget all I said.

I've been attacked by other people's nemesis henchmen while trying to rescue people in the Viper's nest in the Desert . Since they were all level 40 and I was in the 20s I was wiped out pretty quick. I respawned and I went back and waited for whoever was doing the mission to show up and clear it out.

And waited.

And waited.

They never came. Thankfully this was back when you could have a second instance of the map to go to, so switcharooni I went...

Putting higher level nemesis missions and having the nemesis minions hostile to everyone is a pain, I have been killed by minions 10 or more levels higher than my toon lots of times. At least in MC there is probably another instance you can go to but not always in the Desert or Canada.

The reason people fight the minions at the Stein Viper Nest is because they need to clear them out to get to the cells to release the prisoners, not help who these minions spawned for.

Are you talking about the area with the cages, or the mission that you need to be captured to enter? Because if it's the area with the cages, the minions will only respawn because the mission owner has to defeat a certain amount of them and if any of them were defeated by anyone else, the mission would be impossible to complete.

They probably just flew over the area on their way to Stranglehold and the things didn't despawn.
