Here's how things would unfold:
1. Air raid sirens sound and Cyberlord's airship appears somewhere over MC.
2. You hear the sound of jets as several wings of F-18's fly toward the airship.
3. Swarms of robot drones leave the airship and engage the F-18's.
4. A general alert goes out calling for all available heroes to aid in repelling the invasion.
5. Drop pods start landing and unleashing Cyberlord's minions.
6. The big silo door near Ren Ctr opens and heroes are directed to either use a teleporter transponder which is randomly dropped from Cyboerlord's minions to tp up to the airship and fight, or go to the silo and be issues a PRIMUS mini-fighter to engage the air forces of Cyberlord.
7. The heroes in the mini-fighters could target the airship as well, and attempt to bring it down. The heroes on the airship fight a re-rebuilt Cyberlord who has now integrated himself into his new airship - basically the airship & Cyberlord are now one, and damage dealt to the ship by the mini-fighters or by players actually on the airship count the same.
8. Pie (or cake) would be given to all who participate (or some other reward system, whatever works).
Pretty much all the art assets already exist. The "mini-fighters" would be the mini-copters from Resistance, but recolored and perhaps w/ enclosed cockpits so we could reasonably argue that our heroes are inside. Certainly, flying characters could take part in the air battle as well.
The drop pods for Cyberlord's ground forces are also pre-made.
The system to teleport players up to the airship exist as well.
This event would likely have to make the airship stationary, which is why there could be a few spots where it appears.
The F-18's already exist as well - wee see one in a cutscene for Aftershock and I think there are other jet models at Area 51 in the desert. The jets would continue to fly for the entire duration of the event - they would serve to direct players to where the airship is.
If animating the airship's explosion would be too difficult, there could simply be a VO as Cyberlord howls that the heroes have one the day and he and the entire ship teleport out - players would be forcibly teleported off the ship and back to the ground (safely).
The airborne drones could be the Bureau 17 force drones or simply more of Cyberlord's minions w/ jetpacks and perhaps armed with pulse rifles. Similarly, if the whole "mini-fighter" thing isn't feasible, the silo or a nearby PRIMUS soldier could simply issue temporary jetpack items - much like how Juryrig can give you some temp jetboots in the VB crisis.

I think this would make an awesome final climax for a Comic Series.

I love the idea of robots attacking MC, but I'd rather it be Mechanon than Cyberlord.

Maybe that climax can have Mechanon attacking one part of Millennium City, Cyberlord another, and Warlord another (probably Downtown, City Center, and Westside respectively), and Our Heroes have to sort things out before the entire city is demolished for a second time.

I just want to see a massive air battle over MC! Providing multiple ways for flyers and non-flyers to participate is key, but perfectly doable, IMO.
I just chose Cyberlord because his airship is already made, and using stuff that already exists means it would be more likely to get done...

No way, man.
Cyberlord needs to get in line and take his turn.

Though honestly Clarence would win hands down. Probably be more fair if the other cosmics helped Tako. ALL of the other cosmics.
