first i will start off saying i know that it is a random drop. i know there are people out there that have done hundreds of runs with out a drop.

what i would like to know is if anyone has gotten a drop since the last patch?

in the past i would run solo or in groups of all sizes and have been successful with out grinding that hard. just my good luck i guess. but i have found a team that runs DS a lot. i have joined them and started trying to get a few more DS for my use. we have done upwards of 50 runs as a team of 5 and nothing.

so is this just bad luck, am i doing something wrong, or is something else going on????

Maybe Cryptic realized that Dark isn't so cool after all...

Everything is ok with Dark Speed drop rates. Nothing changed. It's just your bad luck. I have been farming with my friend and we got DS after two runs. Same happened next day.

FYI - this item has been changed on PTS. It won't drop a R3 version no matter your level - it'll only drop at a Rank based on what Rank your travel powers could currently be.

NOTE: This will NOT change current versions of Dark Speed currently in player inventories once this change goes Live. Only new ones dropped past that point.

So farm your R3 Dark Speeds at level 10 now.

Wow Cryptic, you sure are kicking people when they are down with this adjusting DS stuff.

Wow, that's kinda lame. For how rare it was, I think the benefit was kinda nice.

Now this could of been interesting, a device that mimics a power that levels with the character.
Now it just turned from to :(

Don't get me wrong, i'll be the first one to agree that a R3 TP on a level 6 toon is OP.
But it just goes to show you that the ranks on TP's purchased with power points shouldn't of ever been level dependant in the first place ;)

Oh well, another nerf to a cool thing in game :(

I've gotten 2 DS over the weekend, so they still drop. One thing I've noticed about joining DS teams is the majority of runs are time consuming and tedious, hence I prefer to organise a group rather than join other groups. Doing fast and more runs raises probablity in a given time frame.

wow well sooner or later it should happened. I saw too many players "crying" in forum that DS is OP. I don't understand why someone says that DS is OP. You can't abuse it in pvp like teleport. Maybe they are jealous that 6 lvl toon can run faster than they :D

Okay I can maybe see just maybe that darkspeed is OP in PVP. But how do you say it OP in PVE. Is it that bad that someone who probably already has level 40 characters wants to run through low level missions just a little faster than everyone else. I don't see have that can hurt the game. And if it is just OP in PVP. Then why should the majority of other players who probably don't PVP be punished. If it truly isjust OP in PVP Then why not just disable the device in PVP.

They just need to STOP PATCHING EVERYTHING COOL IN THIS GAME.
