I have this one character that occasionally gets people staring. She wears rainbow colored clothing, flies around with Rainbow Flight, and every time she uses a power, it's a different color. Occasionally people ask me how I do it and I just smile.

As a belated Christmas present and as a New Years gift, for anybody who has a gold account and wants to do rainbow powers, I'm releasing the bind files I use.

Unzip the text files into your Champions Online\Live folder. For me the location is c:\steam\steamapps\common\champions online\live\

Then, while in-game, type:

/bind_load_file hue360.txt

It'll overwrite your current binds so that the bottom row of powers 1-7 is 1-7, but the numbers will vanish on the buttons because the binds are more complex than simply executing a power. Also, the top row will be F1 through F7. Block and your travel powers will not be overwritten.

Make sure all the text files are present or it'll get stuck and will stop changing colors a number of hues.

This is not a game mod. It's simply a bunch of bind files made with /bind_save_file in-game and cleverly made to cycle through the rainbow. So it's nothing you can't do anyway. Sort of like sharing a costume, only I'm sharing the key binds I use on my one character.

The way it works is by chaining together commands to change the power color, execute the power, and then load the next hue binds up.

There's one little bug. Maintains ends up not being maintaind by holding it down, instead they fire until you do something to cancel them, like block for instance, or until they fully maintain or you run out of energy. This bug might be desirable for some people.

Note, it only overrides the binds on the character you use it on, and to undo it, simply reassign 1-7 and F1-F7 to the original functions.

I'd make it work for silver players if I could, but I can't. /powerhue is only availible for golds. Sorry Silvers.

Here's a couple older threads on the subject. One of my older characters Spectrum is very rainbow-centric. There are some fairly easy ways to do this or even mod the colors to different hues or alternate between fewer colors.
