I was thumbing through the power selections and started working on a fun build that I thought would make the perfect portable wall and after some testing I found out some fun facts too!

: Level 40 Champion

Superstats:
Level 6: Super Strength
Level 13: Super Constitution

Powers:
Level 1: Infernal Bolts
Level 1: Devour Essence -- Crippling Challenge, Phlebotomist
Level 6: Supernatural Power
Level 8: Resurgence -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 11: Epidemic -- Rank 2, Outbreak
Level 14: Energy Shield -- Laser Knight
Level 17: Bionic Shielding -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 20: Unbreakable
Level 23: Masterful Dodge
Level 26: Defiance -- Rank 2, Force Of Will
Level 29: Bountiful Chi Resurgence -- Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki
Level 32: Enrage -- Rank 2, Endorphin Rush
Level 35: Inertial Dampening Field
Level 38: Palliate -- Rank 2

I use to have conviction until I slowly ripped it off me and replaced it with palliate since bcr/enrage/biotic can handle my health regeneration much better for what I use my wall for. I have yet to test palliate when your under any trauma debuffs but I have high hopes that it bypasses them...

Anyway, I am thinking of switching energy shield for a Rank 3/adv Ice barrier since the only time I ever get to use LK is with devour essence but I only use de on bosses or targets that didn't die from my 3-12 seconds of epidemic spam. Also just let me add that Ice barrier's damage resistance increases by a wealthy amount from enrage(2 stacks of 15% enrage makes a rank 1 15% turn into 19% and 8 stacks makes it 32%).

Any input is welcomed and appreciated!

Overall it's a good build, but I do think you have too many active defenses/heals.

I would replace some of these by other good infernal powers like aspect of the infernal, defile or fire snake. Relying on crippling challenge/challenging strike is one thing, but having higher damage and debuffs is always a good thing for tanking.

For advantages, I think the advantage on defiance is still worthless and I prefer epidemic at rank3 instead of the advantage.

From experience I found that epidemic spam can take the aggro from a mob that was constantly hit with cc/s and that is how it led me to this build. As long as I attack first and my teammates don't have a force-taunt advantage on their skills I can hold aggro with epidemic spam alone.

I have as many heals as I do because I don't want to feel like a sand sack getting shot at and it is very rare that I find someone who contributes more than a single aopm(which helps a lot by itself) as well as those sadist monsters that I set my wall up in front of don't tire out until they are dead.

As for the advantages on defiance and epidemic go, Outbreak is useful for quick building and maintaining of poison stacks which can be used to suck down more hp with devour essence(though I rarely use it) and force of will is...well it isn't useful at all except to remind me of the awesome debuff power of will of the tiger...and I have this thing with not even things..

Laser Knight is only good if you are using melee attacks, so ditch that for maybe the Force Shield + adv Force Sheath.

You might also consider dropping Devour Essence, keeping Epidemic, pick up Hurl for your CC & NTTG, Defile & Aspect of the Infernal for even more damage & range. You might also consider taking Imbue for your defile blasts...

After trying out a few different combinations Force Shield/adv is great and all but I find that I forget to activate it more often than not.

I never really liked hurl and have no true use for nttg but I did test out a lunge and aspect of infernal and having my damage increase to levels of near an offensive passive makes me wish that there were more bosses with enough hp to get the most out of my increased dot abilities...

Oh well time to try out the new wind powers!~
