# 1 Magitech Build Help (Magic mostly, maybe some tech?)

Need some help with this build.

I have this build so far and it's okay, but I'm really looking for a Mage-type build ... but I'd like to spread out from just Primal Sorcery (simply started it because of the Aura and Invocation of Storm Calling). I was wondering what else might work for the build? She also has Magitech Armor, so including some power armor / tech skills is okay.

I guess the most important question here is the kind of character you envision your hero to be. Tank? Healer? DPS? PvP or PvE? Then you can talior your build accordingly.

The nice thing is that you picked AoPM as your passive. It's a great passive that many use to mesh different powersets together. For instance, if you SS strength and gear for constitution, you can use Pulsewave's Rage of Majesty build principles to utilize Enrage to supercharge your dps. With SS int you have chosen, you might want to pick MSA as your energy unlock. Combine that with toggles from Power Armor powerset and you can easily mix in the 'tech".

If you plan to pvp, one skill you might want to consider is Binding of Aratron. Pick the Sorcerer's Whim advantage on Eldrich blast and you have a devastating and cheap single target damage dealer.

Just some suggestions for you to consider.

I'd say mostly PvE ... I'm not big on PvP, but I do solo a lot (not always though). Any specifics for that ideal? Thanks.

Well, I'm no expert in either Power Armor or Soccery powersets (I have no characters using either powerset) but I think with your theme in mind a build like this will work in PvE.

Build by championBuilder 0.4.1

Download this Build here.

: Level 40 Champion

Superstats:
Level 6: Super Intelligence
Level 13: Super Strength

Powers:
Level 1: Eldritch Bolts
Level 1: Aura Of Primal Majesty -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 6: Sigils Of The Primal Storm
Level 6: Phoenix Flight
Level 8: Conviction -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 11: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 14: Concussor Beam -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 17: Micro Munitions -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 20: Enrage -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 23: Mini Gun -- U-238 Rounds, Rank 2
Level 26: Electric Sheath -- Matter - Energy Union
Level 29: Unbreakable -- Better You Than Me
Level 32: Eldritch Shield -- Imbue With Power
Level 35: Support Drones -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 38: Dark Transfusion -- Blood Sacrifice

This is a solo dps build with some team support capabilities. With AoPM and SS Str, you can use Rage of Majesty to boost your damage. Use Unbreakable @ Better You than Me to build enrage quickly.

Keep SS int so that MSA becomes a viable energy builder. Gear Con and Conviction becomes a great heal that generates energy. MSA works well with PA toggles where your damage will be coming from.(run concussion beam, micro munitions and mini gun simutaneously).

Need more energy? Pop Dark Transfusion. Blood Sacrifice nicely 'overcharges' your damage as well.

In over your head? Electric shealth @ Matter-energy union provides a great shield and buffs your damage.

AoPM and Support Drones can provide team support. And Drones are also an excellent source of secondary heals allowing you to focus on killing the bad guys.

Sigils are more effective than Innvocation of Storm Calling here. And you can replace Eldrich Shield for Imbue (especially if you gear heavily into Con) for even more damage and bigger heals. Don't think the Imbue+sigil trick work anymore though :(

Unfortunately, you will need to respec. It's still pretty cheap below lvl 20.

Once again this is just a suggestion and hopefully a build guru will come by...

Well, a personal preference is that, while you've definitely kept to the theme, it's a bit too much 'tech.' I would like to see more magic, at least 2/3 of it ... if it's possible.

Well, since no one else came forward. I decided to challenge myself to come up with a build meeting your specifications:

Build by championBuilder 0.4.1

Download this Build here.

: Level 40 Champion

Superstats:
Level 6: Super Intelligence
Level 13: Super Strength

Powers:
Level 1: Eldritch Bolts
Level 1: Aura Of Primal Majesty -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 6: Eldritch Shield -- Imbue With Power
Level 6: Phoenix Flight
Level 8: Conviction -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 11: Pyromancer's Blades -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 14: Circle Of Arcane Power -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 17: Skarn's Bane -- Rank 2, Warlock's Malice
Level 20: Enrage -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 23: Hex of Suffering -- Rune of Lethargy
Level 26: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 29: Electric Sheath -- Matter - Energy Union
Level 32: Unbreakable -- Better You Than Me
Level 35: Orbital Cannon -- Anvil of Dawn, Rank 2
Level 38: Inertial Dampening Field

This is a energy hungry dps build. Skarn's bane is one of the nastiest AoE around and together with pyromancer's blades, you should be able to clear most mobs.

But that's not all! Root enemies with Hex of Suffering, and while they are struggling to move call down an orbital cannon strike. And while waiting for the cannon to charge, blast them with some Skarn's bane magic and the entire time, Pyro blades are flaying them.

To power all that you unfortunately have to step within a Circle of Arcane Clarity. Most of the skills picked also have cooldowns to give you the extra juice with MSA.

So, Circle>Orbital cannon (alpha strike)> Summon blades(if not already up)>Hex>Skarn bane.

For heals you have conviction. While IDF, Electric Shealth and Unbreakable should provide adequate defence.

Not bad, but too much power.

I think you can ditch the blades because you're going to do enough damage.
Instead, add some tech back in with drones and get some utility.

And unless you like managing popping enrage every 20 seconds (gah.....)
You'd be better off going Dex/Int and grabbing Form of the Tempest.
Sure you don't have any melee, but you'd get insane energy flow.
Where you can then drop circle, get more mobility, and grab a circle pet (like ebon), or if you don't mind zombies, with super int, zombies are always up.

There are a lot of good choices from sorcery/wind/darkness powers to make a good attack base.

For tech, I would probably focus on support powers:

1. Support Drones - I've said it before, but really, this is the best pve ability in the game. No "tech" build is complete without it.

2. Munitions Bots - Fire and forget dps and fitting nicely with any "tech" theme.

3. Bio Shielding - A great heal, and if you decide to pick INT as a superstat, it's even better

4. Inertial Dampening Field - Change the color of this to match the "tech" effect of your armor, and it appears that your armor projects the forcefield, so would still fit the theme.

5. Active Offense and/or Defense - Electric Sheath and Unbreakable come to mind for the effects of the theme you are going for.
